As someone with AR Proficiency 4 and Fitting Optimization 4, I welcome the change.... but warily.

Reducing the range on the AR may prove very healthy for the game, but so long as the Assault Scrambler Rifle holds the same DPS than it's no contest what the next flavor of the month is going to be. There's no reason it should have the same DPS but a longer range, it'll only be a matter of time before it picks up as the latest trend.

i once compared the ar to other weapons like the assault scrambler and smg.


first i started out by firing a full clip of that std ar into that wall without touching the controls.

the ar climbed up the wall pretty fast it was a pretty large gap but not something u will notice when shooting at other players.

i then tested the ascr.

it had far less climb than the ar.

when i tested the smg.
no climb what so ever.

so how does the ar have the least recoil of all the other guns in this or what ever its called?

it has the highest in the game.

i only put little sp into smg and only enough to unlock the ascr.

my proficiency on the ar is maxed along with operation.

and alot of the other skills with in it are at level 3 or higher.


and now the many times ive killed with that std ar or gek 38.

most of the kills were in the 40m range.

my less common is in the 50-60m range, rare kills or kill steals are in the 70m range.

at this range the ar is only doing small amounts of damage to you.
since most of the rounds r missing at this range.

So CCP loves the AR players but they **** on tankers,scouts, and heavys?

CCP: " lets change the AR"

Players: " fix tanks,scouts and give heavys something new to play with."

CCP: "what was that? Change the AR"

Players :" NO GIVE US WHAT WE ASKED FOR"
