just a thought.
it would be nice to manually put my fitted dropsuits in any order I want on the dropsuit list.
I had a few I wanted on top so I thought starting them with "AAA" would put them first... sadly my dren suits are before them still.
so it would be nice if we had some control of their order for easy access during battle.
thanks. |

'AAA'. Try that. Or rename the Dren fittings. |

lol... did you read my post... I did try "AAA"...doesn't work.
the point is it would be nice to manually control the order. |

I assumed they were just quotations... I don't use them in the fittings name... just AAA... you would think if it worked on alphabetical order 3 As would be enough to make it first under your favorite...
and again, whats with the work around feedback... the point is it would be nice to have manual control over it...
wouldn't it? |

It's ASCIIbetical order. Numbers and punctuation sorts before capitals, and there's a quote marker around dren, that's why it's sorting first. |

good to know. appreciate the info...
still I think being able to freely name a suit and then put it where you want on your list would be a very convenient customization option... |

If numbers take precedence, than use those for the suit, i.e. 5-Proto Uplink. Also, you can rename the Dren to whatever you desire, thus eliminating the precedence of the " ' ". |

I guess that's what I have to do for now... I just hope ccp will give us some control over how we manage our inventory.
it would be a nice addition. |

Hey Seymour. Until they actually implement a sorting function, you can use . - _ And the like to create tiers
Hope that helps until you get a blue post. |

I'm merely going to say that you can do this already by simply renaming your fits. I personally use a two-number code to sort order of importance, then the following system:
Dropsuit type- general, like Logi/Assault/Scout. L for Logi, A for Assault, S for Sentinel, C for Commando, and "Sc" for Scouts, to avoid confusion with Sentinel.....I don't use scout suits much, despite the hilarity I find myself in with them.
Dropsuit type, specific- Like "A1" (I only run Amarr suits unless there is absolutely no alternative, or I'm liquidating random leftover junk from whatever) for standard level suits, "A1S" for the advanced-level A/1-Series, and eventually "ak0" for the prototype-grade ak.0 dropsuits.
Weapons, nades, equipment- in that order. Grenades are usually omitted for my Logi fits, but that's more because I need to know what equipment is on a fit at a glance, and I have multiple combinations. Generally, I use the following abbreviations as a key; unless blindingly obvious, I'll state what I'm referring to. To save space, this is also not all of them, just the ones I use the most.
"LR"= Laser Rifle "ScR/AScR"= Scrambler Rifle/Assault ScR "SrmL"= Swarm Launcher "PLC"= Plasma Cannon "ScP"= Scrambler Pistol "SMG/BrSMG"= Breach Submachine Gun "FLUX"/"Locus"/"AV"= obvious "Lnk"= Drop Uplink "Hive"/"Scan"= also obvious "Forge"= incredibly obvious "REX"= Remote Explosive
I'll also use the alpha-numeric prefix of ADV-level weapons to differentiate variants if I have multiple versions of a fit- mostly this is the case for HMGs, but also Forge Guns, ScRs, LRs, and pretty soon PLCs.
So, yeah. You can actually do what you're asking. You just have to use the renaming function and remember the ASCII-numeric-alphabetical order. Or really, just be lazy and rename everything use a numeric system. Seriously, it makes everything MUCH easier to sort through if you just keep track of "okay, 01 is for Assault, 02 for Commando, 03 for Logi, and 04 for Scout", and so on. |

If you put a space as the first "character" in your dropsuit name, it will go straight to the top. The only suit above it will be whatever fit you have set to favorite. |

ty for all the replies... I will be doing this to better organize my fittings...
still, it doesn't seem like it would take a whole lot of coding to implement a feature where we can just put our suits in an order of our own choosing w/out having to rename them... personally I would like to name my suit anything I want and still put it where I want on my list. |

Numbers work well to organize your fittings as does punctuation. |

All of my fittings have a number in front of them, the ones I want on top are 0.1-0.9. Proto suits are 1.0-1.9. Adv suits are 2.0-2.9 and so on and so fourth. Folders are more needed IMO, and being able to arrange those properly will be a new issue if/when CCP gives us fitting folders. |

We broached that to CCP Logibro. and he agreed that it was a damn good idea. Maybe we will see it SOON (TM) |
