wait wait wait, limit the tanks, when the rest of the team is running FULL PROTO, why not call for a limit on proto players? Secondly "unkillable without teamwork"..... are you running solo, or is your team underperforming? Whats getting ridiculaous is the people crying about more than one tank in a gamemode, blaming on the tanks power rather the realism of the situation which is a team failing to deal with the tanks. MLT FG suit costs 2.7k, swarmers are easy to SP into. Use the squad finder to run with squads. The game should not punish a team for playing well. Tanks are only OP when you allow them that, if you do they will **** face. |

Ok maybe I should have went into more detail of the situation and my own thought process,but you have a point protos should be limited and I have teams that work to take a tank out and still wouldn't be successful. There are tanks that are out there that just won't go down even if you threw all you have at them. Some tankers are getting smarter as time goes on.. tanks are overwhelming as they are if you know how to fit them. Militias can be deadly if fitted right but yet people want them to be buffed.. |

Tanks should only be limited in number if they're as powerful as some tankers have suggested (e.g., takes 3+ people with equivalent-level AV equipment to take down). If they take 1.2-1.5 AV players to destroy (enough that one good player could threaten them with death but have a hard time actually making a kill), then there's no need to limit them. I think it will be better all around if they're not limited--except perhaps in hisec, once we have the option to choose hisec or lowsec.
More than anything, I think the maps need to be constructed so vehicles can provide a distinct advantage without dominating the match (which they can do to greater effect on some maps than on others). That way infantry can still play when there are powerful vehicles on the map, but it will be an uphill battle if they can't neutralize them. Some of the maps are just too open, and highly effective vehicles would tear the whole thing apart. |
