I understand people want to win games and whatnot but 3 tanks and a full team of protos is too much don't ya think? I really believe they need to limit the amount of tanks to one per team. I'm sick of facing tanks that are unkillable without teamwork but then there are 3 of them right behind each other.. |

Teamwork..? They don't give a damn about each other just want to get the most kills and tank the game I'm not crying. Just the fact that people want tanks to get a buff and for what..? |

in your scenario they are effectively bringing a team that is of equal value to two squads, that require organized play to deal with.
if you cold deploy as a team you could more likely bring people to the table capable of dealing with such tactics.
Tried this with other teams and most of the time either the armor hardeners save them or we still don't put too much dent into their armor. |

Every vehicle in this current build of Dust 514 can be soloed with relative ease... Unfortunately
If someone can solo 3 tanks at once let me know so I can be trained by them and I'm not talking about the militia tanks.. I'm talking about an EHP 7,000-9,000 Madrugars that have hardeners and armor reps |

But I do have advanced training packages with a minimum of 7 lessons that will bring the cost down to 45mil per lesson. I require at least a 85% of the full amount upon start of the first lesson, the 15% can be payed off during the duration of the advanced training package XD You just proto av the person with Nano's near by or is it an actual tactic you would be willing to teach? |

I agree, I think that tanks should be limited outside of team deploy scenarios. It also creates a scenario where tankers could be bankrolled. If they are rolling tanks in team deploy then it's only fair that at the very least the team pitches in to support him. I also believe there should be game modes that prohibit high end gear. Call it high sec battles. I love you lol I was thinking there should be game modes like that because it's going to be hard for new people to be going against high end gear. |

I suck at tanking but as someone that does it from time to time you don't need teamwork to kill a tank. Lol av nades and nano hive will work.
Sometimes that works but armor/shield hardeners and the mods make them more difficult to kill |

wait wait wait, limit the tanks, when the rest of the team is running FULL PROTO, why not call for a limit on proto players? Secondly "unkillable without teamwork"..... are you running solo, or is your team underperforming? Whats getting ridiculaous is the people crying about more than one tank in a gamemode, blaming on the tanks power rather the realism of the situation which is a team failing to deal with the tanks. MLT FG suit costs 2.7k, swarmers are easy to SP into. Use the squad finder to run with squads. The game should not punish a team for playing well. Tanks are only OP when you allow them that, if you do they will **** face.[/quote]
Ok maybe I should have went into more detail of the situation and my own thought process, but you have a point protos should be limited and I have teams that work to take a tank out and still wouldn't be successful. There are tanks that are out there that just won't go down even if you threw all you have at them. Some tankers are getting smarter as time goes on.. tanks are overwhelming as they are if you know how to fit them. Militias can be deadly if fitted right but yet people want them to be buffed.. |

Goric Rumis wrote:Tanks should only be limited in number if they're as powerful as some tankers have suggested (e.g., takes 3+ people with equivalent-level AV equipment to take down). If they take 1.2-1.5 AV players to destroy (enough that one good player could threaten them with death but have a hard time actually making a kill), then there's no need to limit them. I think it will be better all around if they're not limited--except perhaps in hisec, once we have the option to choose hisec or lowsec.
More than anything, I think the maps need to be constructed so vehicles can provide a distinct advantage without dominating the match (which they can do to greater effect on some maps than on others). That way infantry can still play when there are powerful vehicles on the map, but it will be an uphill battle if they can't neutralize them. Some of the maps are just too open, and highly effective vehicles would tear the whole thing apart.
I agree with you there
