Exactly, just empty promises. I dont even know why they take away "beta" brand. Game is still like beta, it defo not a full release. No flow in gameplay - like in trailers, No proxy, No quality servers, Low quality graphics,Terible mechanicks, Horible bugs, No proper MOVE optimilisation etc. etc. Just broken promises.
Servers used specifically for eve online and the backbone of dust are literally military grade (to the point the acquisitioner had to get a security clearance) and matches the likes of the wall street servers. What we can't help ISPs, phsyics of real world and any provided equipment through PSN. What we can help is netcode optimization.
Horrible Bugs - understatement in light of a more recent game that deleted your entire character every time you started. Then had a biased server accusations pop up about top crews and review crews being unhampered. In terms of bugs Dust 514's are pretty damn light weight type of bugs.
PS MOVE - I know a CPM member who has very sharp words against that, overall the device seems to work much better on our game than most other shooters.

Barnett: "CCP talk of expansion packs and add-ons but if they can't even introduce many features that were promised from release do we think we will ever see such a thing as a first-person option in the future, despite the fact the developers once said in a CSM that this was on the agenda?"
Elan Dochin: "The game'll be dead in six months. Mark my words."
Ten years later we're hearing the same exact things from the Dust 514 guys. You have to take into consideration that this is 2013 and Dust isn't a niche game like EVE was back then. There's trillions of shooters out there. This kind of quality we're seeing? Can't sustain that. Gotta step up the game.
Dust 514 is already pretty niche. |

We get to see super special orbitals in PC! The concept of the game is niche, the execution is a sub par lobby shooter. Maybe in a couple years DUST might stand out...in a good way.
Well its up to CCP to keep working towards it then, they owe us that much. |

Boots up PS2 Clicks instant action "Error Cannot use Instant Action Now. No battles found" and this was during an alert. Exo-wargate population less than 10. Warpgate population 50ish. Whatever killed my server is beginning to kill the other servers as similar complaints are beginning to crop up on the more populated ones. |

Whatever killed my server is beginning to kill the other servers as similar complaints are beginning to crop up on the more populated ones. I saw a live feed of PS2 on twitch once before. I think it went like the guy and 50 others trying to snipe the other team with rifles from 100m away... and nobody was dieing. I tried PS2 a while back and my experience was crowded into a small room with force fields on the doors with 15 others shooting at the camping enemies behind the walls. Yeh, s'what happens when they take the entire complex save for your team's one little spawn location and that's entirely by design, there's no emmergent gameplay going on right there. That wasn't something the players just up and decided to do one day and it became common practice, it's just how the game works. It's -SUPPOSED- to give your team an opportunity to turn things around but I guess SOE thought that the players on the opposing team would be nice and give them the chance to get out or something.
A good spawn system for bases would be an entire underground network for the facility that gave defenders multiple places to pop out from to attack the offenders even possibly leave siege camps.
BTW the bases in PS2 are by far the WORST designed bases, ever... period.
And SOE takes the best designed bases and nerfs them.
The lattice system only made it worse. |
