but no seriously, nova knives are terrible at the moment. they're supposedly getting fixed soon, but with ccp, who knows?

as a nova knife user since the beginning of uprising, i would highly recommend the shotgun instead. i'm not trying to discourage you, just trying to save you the trouble i had to experience.

I've been hearing about this nonsense, still sounds like a fun build to play with though!
breach scrambler pistol with complex dam mods and a nova knife doesn't sound too bad? but i could be wrong :P

I main that, and I gotta tell you, it's like you are flying by the seat of your pants 24/7. Fast and frenzied firefights, the challenge of knifing, and the low eHP make it the adrenaline junkie's suit. DO IT.

Got to say though since the last patch I have not been using the knives much though. I sunk some into Shotguns and 1 point into all other weapons to test them out. The Nova Knife is the most broken out of all the weapons currently in this game. Shotgun has some pretty bad hit detection issues to but it ain't got a thing on the Nova Knife. Either of the Assault SMG's is great though. Plasma Cannon + Assault SMG is a blast fyi. Though the switch time between the PLC and your sidearm is longer than normal. Basically what I am trying to say is until the knives are fixed there isn't much point in using them more than stabbing someone who is hacking an objective.
