The horizon can be as beautiful as it likes, when the terrain between here and there is a morass of garbage, it is not an appealing trip.
Besides, the "good stuff is around the corner" line was only good before Uprising, when there was at least an illusion of CCP having enough resources to pull this off.
We all know the game is going to rot in a special type of development dysfunction, don't bother trying to play it like you guys have some ace up your sleeve. Because if you had one we would have heard about it when you first wrote down the idea. Probably would have gotten a blog about it back then too.

Anyways, TLDR is dont try and go max on stuff. Go basic on everything, then go slightly better on the things you kind of enjoy, and only max out the things you really love. Other then that just get as much stuff to advanced to add variety. It also means being able to test all the things whenever they are balanced or tweaked.
Hometime for me now though as it's almost 1AM. :(
thats awful advice tbqh so at this rate if someone wants to be competitive in PC or any corp battles they gotta wait like what now? 6-8 months? already takes ppl from scratch like 4+ months to get a proper fit maxed
Don't forget, CCP isn't active in PC. They would never be able to keep up. It will remain as a mystery that people will want to be competitive quickly to be able to contribute.
Besides, the longer and more diverse your route through the skill tree, the more likely you are to buy boosters when it finally comes time to start really upgrading. Clever moves by the devs, encouraging people to waste their SP. |
