That the biggest culprit of this is the amount of uplinks on the field and other equipment spam? |

Pretty sure its well known that it contributes to it. Doesn't mean anyone is going to stop doing it. |

I think it might be one of the main reasons as I was in a match today with a squad of nyain san on the opposing team. The frame rate was absolutely horrific. I did a quick scan and there was more the 30 uplinks by the supply depot it was ridiculous so i equips my flux nades and destroy em all and immediately the game was noticeably more fluid. Game changing in fact. |

Never have I been in a match with or against them where I didn't lag horribly, and they always seem to do 40+ numbers. They are definitely using latency as a weapon. |

Devs had said in the past that this isn't the problem.
I'm thinking that it's not the equipment themselves, but rather a combination of the equipment being used along with a ton of players all in one area with a large structure surrounding them.
There should be an option to turn the glow effects of the nanohives off. |

There was minimal lag once the uplinks and a bunch of other equipment was destroyed. |

It appears to have a lot to do with scanners being combined with lots of uplinks/nanohives. We do have teams looking into it. :) Game Designer // Team True Grit http://twitter.com/regnerba |

I suppose the issue is still the CLIENT lag. In that case nanohives are more likely to be the cause as they have the visible shiny bubble special effect.
I strongly advise everyone to remember to separate the server lag from client lag. |

If you would also take a look at EVE based orbitals causing a severe amount of lag in PC, that would be greatly appreciated. Earlier today we had a PC match where we had EVE support using the Tactical Pulse Laser and the entire match went to single digit FPS for a great deal of our players.
It was Spine Crescent and the match was running smoothly up until the pulse laser was dropped. |

Only had that happen once for me, we dropped an emp strike and for a minute or 2 it was like playing in a comic or something. Then it just went back to normal. Wish I had been recording that pc. .le shrug.
On that note, can I just post up a link to a vid in a ticket if it happens again? |

As a side note, the icons on the minimap are too big when there's a billion of them in one area. I don't need to have everything glowing on my radar. Maybe just "lit up". |

Dropped an orbital today in a Dom that destroyed a good 40 pieces of equipment, and after my scout scanned, another 30-40 were still in the area. This has to be reined in somehow.
Can standard uplinks be made to be squad-only (maybe those deployed by players not in a squad only useable by like), like they were supposed to be back in the day? In the beta, I felt them being open to the whole team a good thing, but after seeing all this mess for a while now, I'd be pleased with almost anything that might help prevent 6 uplinks being piled on top of one another just to try to grab some cheap WP out of teammates who can't tell which uplink was laid out by their squadmate. |
