Reduce max carried grenades

Bright Cloud Namtar Elite Gallente Federation 219	Posted - 2013.10.14 23:15:00 - [1] - Quote Its getting stupid at the moment with all the grenade spam be it from vets or just the n00b who throws all 3 grenades in a row in a general direction. Given how powerfull grenades are they should be limited to 1 and not 3 as it is at the moment. AV grenades and flux should be reduced to 2. 2 because you need at least 2 to take out a cheap LAV and 2 because flux grenades are not lethal. I dont know any other shoter where you have more then 1 grenade at once. If you support a skill based game then support this idea. Just look around and see that every n00b and their mother is throwing m1 or core locus grenades.

I could understand them making bullets from Nano Machines, or Blaster rounds which get sheathed in plasma, but not grenades. I guess people are finally starting to see a problem with having 3 proto nades in people's pockets. They're too strong to have 3 right off the bat, then you can magically sit on a nanohive and pluck them straight out your ass again in a hurry. Poor, POOR balance in any shooter when grenades can be spammed like it is in DUST, and the truly sad part is how many people like them as they are. Bunch of no skilled people sitting on nanohives spamming skill in a can. Yes kiddies, every self respecting FPS has 3 grenades in your pocket (name one)

I'm getting this "you're a scrub for wanting my crutch nerfed" vibe from him. I'm curious, did you also find the tact. rifle ok? Was the flaylock pistol ok too? How about the Caldari Logi suit? I guess that suit was PERFECT...just like the problem with nades

COD Halo KZ DUST BF That's all I can recall of the bat. Up until the last CoD I played, BO1 it had 2 nade slots. CoD 4 had a perk for 3, and even they realized it was spammed and took that perk out. I saw the pick 10 system in BO2, and didn't notice 3 nade slots. Don't know about HALO, but from what I see, that game is actually about gun game. KZ is 3, but they don't magically regen cuz you sat on a glowing bubble. BF is 2 grenades. I don't know what BF you've been playing. You mention DUST among games that are legendary... smh.

You're saying that it's believable that there could exist, in this world, microscopic "nano" machines powerful enough to create, FROM NOTHING, not only normal, solid rounds, but rounds made out of superheated and possibly radioactive plasma... but NOT a simple, compact, high yield anti-personnel explosive? Nevermind how the bloody CRU's work. Holy mother of God, those must be outside your realm of willing suspension of disbelief. In all fairness though, it is a sort of damning game mechanic. I say leave the grenade counts alone, but I think I'd support only one round of reloads from any one nanohive. As in, one full refill of grenades and ammunition, instead of a continuous "until the hives run out" resupply. The same goes for ammo resupply depots. I'd also like to see a cool down time after switching fits at an RD, to stop people from abusing the ability to swap out for a suit with full HP and ammo in the middle of a firefight. Just my two cents.

I can survive STD grenades with my STD suits, ADV grenades with ; a STD suit, and PROTO grenades with my ADV suit or higher. In order to BALANCE (not nerf) Grenades what needs to be done is: GÖª Locus x2 But takes x2 nanites from nanohives. Cant be ressuplied in Supply depos GÖª Flux x3 , can be ressuplied everywhere.Same as now. GÖª AV x2, Only at SUPPLY DEPOS. (no nanohive+AV nade spam anymore,if you want to take on a vehicle,spec into AV) GÖª Contact X1, Can be ressuplied everywhere, X2 nanite consumption on nanohives to reduce spam This way grenades would be balanced and STILL useful.IMO... My 0.02 ISK
