I dare you to respond to this thread on 01/01/14 and still say that DUST514 hasn't been abandoned by players, by the time the PS4 is released.

I often wonder what is going on int he head of people when posts, such as the one above are written. Is the person having a rough day? Are they just tired of hearing the same response to the same ole question?

OR, are they having a moment where there individuated identity becomes salient, and the only way they know how to express it is through bashing on other peoples' responses or observational choices?

One has to wonder that if a person needs to respond in such an abrasive and crass manner, then what bug crawled up their but and began to dance a jig on their spleen?

So many questions and so very few brain cells that may never be engaged to consider them. Oh the issues with assumptive leaps and cognitive short cuts.

works that way on the ps3, if the ps4 does it, then people can play it on the ps4 right?

the game is so bugged up and glitched up now, I cant even play it anymore...

everything takes 5 seconds to happen after I press a button...

hop in a vehicle, press O... 5 seconds later im in the seat, reloading, press square, 5 seconds later im reloading, supply depot, hacking.... everything is taking 5 seconds to get done after I press the buttons... I cant play anymore.

The ability to download is not the issue; compatibility of the client with the new device is the concern.

AAA titles still release on current generation. Some AAA games don't even target next gen yet.

It will take a long time before next gen will have a larger install base than current gen. I'd give it at least a year or so, but by then CCP hopefully has a plan for it. DUST is a perfect match for PS4.

You don't need a PS4 to enjoy games like Destiny or Battlefield 4.

Overall the game as it stands now cannot afford a stint of development efforts towards porting (as I understand there is some re-engineering required) yet as the game right now as is in a pretty bad shape, I mean look at all the complaints on the forums, all the other people crying how to fix dust (from failing) is proof evident we're not ready to relaunch elsewhere yet.

Very funny, but what is your point?

We are talking DUST and PS4. Well, not actually. The point is that DUST in on the PS3 and is going to stay there for sometime so quit QQ about it. Keep the PS3 to run DUST if you want. Dump DUST if you don't. No big deal. The new consoles are just cheap PCs. The reason to buy any of them, PC included, is to play the games you want to play.

The games you mentioned are perfectly valid reasons to buy a PS4. Even an Xbone. Although, personally, I recently built a gaming PC so my PS3 and my Xbox 360 will have to suffice. No more consoles for me.

Witcher 2 ... yuck, they changed all the fight mechanics? Witcher 3 has potential though.
