I've noticed this awhile ago but it never made it to the forums, why as a minmatar am I in Ammatar space? |

You're in a station owned by a Minmatar corporation. The corps are independent of the faction they belong to, and own stations in areas ruled by the other empires. It got there through the corporation negotiating with the Ammatar mandate to build the station there, or the station was there when the Minmatar Republic lost control of the system.
Corporations in New Eden are a very much like some kind of capitalistic anarchy. They nominally are ruled by their empire, but they can do what they want outside of that empire's borders. |

The Ammatar is the Amarr name for a one of the minmatar tribes (Nefantar) that basically think the Amarr are tip top. |

If you search for your station name on dotlan you can find out what racial variant it is supposed to be.

I was curious about this.... I am Minmatar, with Amarr quarters, and a Caldari avatar on the forums.... I am so confused 
Insedently the Amarr quarters are kinda nice... but i miss the cozy feel of my previous accounts lodgings |

lore correction: they follow the amarr religion that doesn't necessarily transfer to following the amarr's every whim. |
