BF4 is really early beta though isn't it?
Not that I'm saying anything against dust. I have always wanted to get back into a BF game but not with the modern warfighter setting. |

No. BF4 beta is just a demo pretty much (Like most betas on consoles). The only reason they do the beta is to get some bugs fixed and make sure the server's work good for launch.
BF4 beta is not bad but I agree I like dust more. It's still a good game but it's not something that'll replace dust for me at least. |

You're comparing a fully released game to a beta version of a game, with reduced performance/graphics to optimise a quick download... -_- |

lol BF on current gen. Wasted your time trying to compare the 2.
Compare the games when DUST and BF4 end up on PS4. If so, BF4 > DUST for the simple fact that it does the lobby shooter thing better.
If DUST ever becomes more than a 16v16 lobby shooter, then you can't compare the 2. |

The beta is a small download because it only has one map and the engine the game plays on not because they optimized it. In fact most betas are less optimized then the released version. Also if you expect anything more then what you see (Excluding different maps and Single Player) be ready to be disappointed. The only reason why the released version of bf4 will be bigger is because it will have single player and all of the maps the game is going to have instead of the single map the beta has. |

I didn't really care for BF4, but I have a bias opinion, my needs for a shooter need t be military with a post apocalyptic or sci-fi twist. (Crysis, Brink, Dust514). In all honety that new Ellen Page game beyond two souls demo was the only game in a while that has interested me, I will be buying it. As for BF3/4 COD, blaw blaw, more of the same, nothing new every time. |

I had a few games on it and I liked it but not sure if I ran into some kind of superweapon or a bug, I got in an elevator and ended up on top of that huge building. I shot down a heli, then for some bizarre reason I got thrown from the roof, upwards I got launched into the sky then died. I was quite amusing from my team's perspective it looked like I got abducted by aliens apparently. |

I like both for completely different reasons. I like Dust for the persistence, RPG elements, and the community. I like BF because it has no persistence and its sort of arcade non-commitment style of play. Both games could learn from each other TBH.
Sometimes you just want to C4 some people. Sometimes you just want to shoot laz0rz.
In all fairness though dust never crashed as much as the BF beta has for me. BF4 beta hard crashes sometimes 3 or 4 times in a hour. |

If you're saying that BF4 on PS4 is going to be the grand scale of major kick a/ssery, you are doing it oh so wrong.
BF4 on PS4 is not going to be any much different than the PS3 version. Learn about your tech. Next gen won't be next gen until later gen...deal with it.
Secondly, I agree with the OP. I've played the beta and compared to Dust-I gotta say no. Yes it is beta. But really folks how different really it be from the final product besides some in game mechanics that will change?
In Dust, the depth is so much greater compared to the hollow shell universe of BF. From the social aspect in Dust, to the lore, to the science fiction aspect, to the connectivity with EVE and to the grind that takes you from a wet behind the ears rookie to an all out cut and molded mercenary of war-its a game that offers so much more IMO
LOL, I tried cooking a grenade...FAIL. Plus I hate the way my character moves. It feels like a refrigerator on a block of ice. It doesn't feel smooth. But I always hated that feel of BF |

after i dumped the garbage new heli controls and set them to what i use in bf3 i found the little birds to be much more fun and responsive to fly, as for the other stuff... well lets just say that the current gen version won't be winning any awards, maps are designed for pc and next gen player counts, they fell empty right now, graphics aren't hugely impressive, it generally feels underwhelming. |

I like the recoil, the fact that I can shoot from beind cover and lay down flat. I'm mad I never played Battlefield before. The beta definitely made a fan out of me. If only it had female soldiers. I like Dust still, I just like the feel of Battlefield mor. I'd still play Dust if I had BF4 right here. I like trying different fittings and the RP stuff I can do with my character. |

Nah I never played a David Cages game. Is it PC or Console? Only PC game I play is The Sims 3 and I haven't played in months bc my laptop needs a new charger. I miss my Sims :( I wanna download Supernatural and Seasons so bad. I want my sim to be a werewolf like forever ago.
Blah just reread your post haha. Is David Cages the guy that made Heavy Rain? |
