I'd like to add that CCP has shitted on small railguns for far too long.
"How long Sgt Kirk?"
I'll tell you how long, they've never been good. [FACT] This^ hell give them the range of large rails and more direct... |

SGT. Kirk - - > They should have received a buff in ROF and automation to the cyclic charge rate of the firing. That and greater consistency in the hit detection. But you are right in that they never have been good since Mordu's Private Trails.
As for the other matters, there are a number of "needs" for this game if it wished to awaken from this medically induced comma that seems to have been a parting gift by the last EP.
The P2P market and item transfers with the most basic of racial equipment, weapons, vehicles and dropsuits is an ABSOLUTE necessity while the option of PVE would help break the monotony that can become fits of proto-pub-stomping to stepping into a match and grabbing ones' ankles while grinning and bearing it.
As often as I have vented my frustrations with the atrociously slow pace of effective change along with the seeming disconnect between CCP and the player community is what seems to frustrate the greater majority of us.
I can say that I will keep my fingers crossed from some substantive changes, but I expect nothing from the new guy till he begins to produce an actionable track record.

Is it true CCP is actually just one guy with multi-personality disorder?
their lack of .... everything.. is gradually irritating me. i made a post which (in my opinion) is a great idea for PvE and getting drunk and smashing the hell out of little weird aliens we some how stumbled upon on some distant planet :) can post a link if requested
also, why has CCP ignored this post? either they are hiding, disrespecting, or just don't care that their community is losing faith in them. |

Any "new" content thereafter should be geared towards bigger levels that can sustain more players, more sandbox-like environments, destructible terrain, etc. Anyone who is too cheap to get a PS4 can continue to play the same crappy game we have now. It's a free game, after all. They aren't getting anything less than what they have now.
All the good stuff that was in the original vision of Dust simply cannot be done on the PS3 at any point, ever. The current formula isn't working, and it won't work in the future either. Dust needs a complete rebirth on a piece of hardware that completely ignores the current limitations of the game.
Himiko Kuronaga wrote:The PS4 alone can't save it. It needs to become a completely new game at the same time.
That new game can't exist on the PS3, however. That much is a fact. At first, I would disagree with you, since there is no competition on the PS3, but will be stiff on the PS4. Killing the PS3 client and the entire player base could actually make things worse. It could be, you know... killed.
On a second thought though... you are right. And I have known that for a long time. The PS3 is unable to execute their vision. CCP are unable to execute well on the PS3. It is a vast different world from the PC swamp they descend from.
About CCPs (mis)management style and lack of development, this is widely known by Eve veterans and developers. CCP have their special style of developing. Very close to the community, sometimes even part of the community, and fanlike rather than business oriented. Nice but not effective. This is something that wont change. The real question is if it will work out in the console realm and in the FPS market. |

And I find it highly amusing when people call this game a free product, seeing as how I've spent several hundred dollars on this game so far. Most expensive game I've ever played. There is no such thing as a free lunch. The goal of the producers of this game is to sell a product - the same goal as the producers of any other game. Just because they are taking a diferent sales approach than many other games doesn't relieve them of their reponsibility to their costumers. Or the responsibility to produce a product that captures the interest of the consumer, and for that product (or in Dust's case, the iteration of that product) to be presented to the public in a timely manner. So far, IMO, CCP has monumentally failed to achieve this kind of customer service, bordering on extreme negligence, so much so that it has driven many people away from the game. IMO, CCP needs to take whatever steps necessary to ramp up production on REALLY soon or suffer the consequences which I think could be dire and long lasting, if it is indeed not already to late. Ok...i have to say this. If you spent several hundred dollars on ANY game that's your own fault. Where does fault come into play here? I am talking about the overall health and survival of this game. And the simple fact is that, VERY VERY little content has been added to this game since it became available to play more than a year ago now. The end of last month marks a year of playing this game for me, and due to this game having changed VERY VERY little since then I have all but lost interest. I can hardly bring myself to play anymore. And that is a shame.
Fair point. My comment was focused on your statement that seemed to imply it was foolish to think that Dust was, in fact, a free product based on your personal choices to purchase in game items. I honestly see your point about content and share similar concerns.

Atleast with it only being on Ps3 there is an excuse for it to be a 16v16 lobby shooter with 2008 graphics.
LOLno try 2005 graphics or earlier
and it needs to go PS4 and like Himiko said not just a simple port that would be dumb OBV it has to be a completely new game on PS4 because they CANNOT realise their visions on PS3. Anyone that thinks they can do all the bs they talk about at fanfest etc on the ps3 is srsly challenged.
Game isnt gettin bigger on the ps3, the more time passes the more ppl get PS4s and the less ppl start caring about "Soon TM" this and "Soon TM" that.
u have 2 yr old+ PAID games that more ppl rather play than a FREE game so obv being on PS3 only isnt any advantage its just an excuse for it to continue suckin. Moving to PS4 CCP would have 0 excuses other than they just cant make a good FPS.
1-2 years........thats the timeline ccp has max to move to PS4 with a NEW game not a port, thats if the game isnt totally dead before next fanfest. |

It's not a rumor. It's 100% true, and his name is Tyler Durden. Welcome to Dust club.
First rule of Dust club: CCP does not talk about Dust club.
Second rule of Dust club: CCP does not talk about Dust club.
Third rule of Dust club: builds will go on as long as they have to.

They have their own private forum where they talk about threads in the public forum, believe it or not.
The idea is to not accidentally bait a hostile argument from the fanbase over sensitive topics.
In this case, that's a mistake. This is something that actually needs to be talked about, publicly, and now. |

As a vet, my only request to CCP Rouge would be increased communications. We've already seen great improvements thanks to CCP LogiBro but we need more, like what is standard in EVE development. |

Hopefully from CCP Rouge himself, which is highly doubtful. would ccp dare comment on a productive thread made by a vet? i dont think so unless its to ban them for having good ideas, that may save their terribad game..dust had such potential when i started playing it. then ccp really started sinking their claws into it hasnt been the same since i remember when they banned takecover ordie for making a tanker petition. one that had names on it and no offensive comments. poor guy quit dust and alot of others too after that. pfft lol everytime i bring up vehicle lock in any coordinated way for 2 years i get the ban hammer..its funny i still see it brought up over a year of hearing about vehicles and locks and balance and still nothing and from what i can tell some cod are still crying for nerfs. has ccp ever listened? i cant recall..hang on what id they do when we told em contact nades would be a baaaad idea..? oh yeah they put em in anyway..and then what happened ? pray tell? oh they realized we were right omfg big surprise..the gamers who spend half they're time witha controller in their hands knows what would be good for a game where the developer sitting in his musty office does not?
ppftt has anyone else ever gotten on dust right after reset or at some point to find they servers down..then gone to find out whats going on from ccp only they had no idea they're game was offline and not working.
one example of ccp doing the exact opposite of what the community tells them and then realizes they're error. what is the point of beta testers? i have not seen a single thing done that anyone proposed..dust is chugging along on ccp's plan and they have made it clear they dont know what they are doing. yet they spurn our feedback. |

Actually it's like being given a free car and told that it drives perfectly fine and is in good condition and then you get it and it has no wheels, engine or seats and it can;t be driven .. I could fill a bag full of poo and give it to you for free .. does that mean you can;t complain about what you've been given ??? |
