After playing several hours today in a combination of rail and blaster tanks, I can say there definitely has been some improvements to rendering. However, they are not universal and I will explain why I say this based on my experiences. Invisible swarms seem to be a thing of the past, but more playtime is needed.
Rendering seems to be dependent upon the map. For instance, my first game was an Amarr FW contract on Ashland. I could see the enemy bolas and its possession from 350+. in addition, installation were rendering along with their turrets. In an essence, everything was working as intended.
Then my next match was an Amarr FW contract on Iron Delta with the communications outpost in the large socket. Rendering was absolutely horrible. Installations disappeared as I would zoom on them, infantry refused to render as I railed at them or sniped, and here was invisible AV about.
This spelled the current trend which I am about to proclaim. Rendering is fixed on all the maps we had in Chromosome (Manus Peak, Ashland, Line Harvest, Skim Junction) and untouched on all of our new maps (Iron Delta, Fracture Road, Impact Ridge, Border Gultch, Spine Crescent).
Please weigh in with your own personal experiences as more and more vehicle pilots and snipers download and experience 1.5. Ranged combat is key in core game play and it is critical to give CCP good feedback so they can fix the problems at hand. |

Haven't checked it out yet, but I will say rendering was always rougher on Iron Delta than on any other map. |

I've only had two tanks out today, however already encountered invisable swarms & infantry, (including blues)
Map : Fracture Road
I was at around G2 , invisiable infantry as close as H2 & H3, which isnt far at all (chevrons light up, just no player)
And invisable swarms at, goodness where...
I was using missile turrets for all thats worth |

I have had several tanks out tonight, and I can say it seems to be map specific. Only ran missiles but the swarms certainly render far better along with the forge guns. Infantry actually rendered rather well at max range as well. All in all, I actually enjoyed tanking for a change. |

I played on Manus Peak and got the sniper side, so yeah, I had rail tank out on top near the redline
Everything rendered, could see the turret at the reds end, and infantry at and around obj C
Although before 1.5, i've always found that map and others pretty inconsistant, sometimes it works great, other times you cant even see infantry at obj B, so yeah, given my first round and invisable stuff so close, im guessing not much has changed regarding rendering

Are you serious? They got worse. I cant see people until they're 15m away and my blaster hit detection is non-existant. i should be taking these guys out in 0.45 seconds, but it takes 3 because the hit detection isn't there. all the damn tank buffs in the world dont matter if i cant see or shoot at anything. |

Line Harvest is worse than it was before for me. I called in a tank on the central eastern tower to take out a couple turrets to the south. Wouldn't render at all, ever. You used to be able to trick it in situations like this by jumping out and rendering them from your dropsuit, then when you jumped back in they'd still be visible. I tried a few times, the turrets would instantly render when I exited the vehicle, but disappear immediately when I got back in. |

This is quite disappointing that we are having mixed experiences with rendering, since this may yield an extra advantage to one side in a combat scenario. All I can say is that yesterday the rendering was fine on Manus peak and Ashland and horrible on Iron Delta and Gultch Road. It never gave me the chance to play line harvest or any other maps. So another CCP promise that is nothing but an utter lie. |

I run swarm pretty much all the time. IT IS WORSE! Turrets wont even register from the towers. I have to find the sweet spot for them to show up. Tanks and swarms may be different. By the time I get it to lock on, a sniper has me locked in. lol Damn all u snipers.... Killed me 3 thales yesterday single match 700k isk. My ONLY 3 kills. U shoot at me, you die............ |

I have been having issues on all maps still.
While i will admit some are better than they were i still find it horrible.
I was driving a blaster tank and had people/vehicles/installations going invisible at less than 100 m
but installations 350 m + were rendered.
I still have invisible swarms just as often.
I have also noticed that rendering while on foot has gotten worse as well. (invisible infantry less than 50 m away)
Im happy they are trying but after 6 months my faith is fading. |

Im happy they are trying but after 6 months my faith is fading. The more I play, the more inconsistent rendering gets. Manus peak is the only semi reliable map for me. I dunno what they think they did, but it was pathetic at best. When I asked CCP Nullarbor during Pyrex's stream he said in typical CCP fashion that it wasn't his department. |

I don't know about before but my playing time now , allows me to agree with you. TOTALLY!!!! NEEDS WORKING ON !!! |
