This is interesting news indeed. Can anyone else confirm? I'm stuck at my desk until this afternoon. If they snuck some ninja love into the update that was not included in the patch notes I would be most happy. |

Moving targets are still iffy to hit, and don't try to take someone on if they are backpedaling. You can't win.
Knives still have a LOOONG way to go .
Refer to the scouts page, or even the knives are broken page for more proof. 1.5 hasn't fixed NK hit detection at all. |

As someone with degrees in Photonics Technology as well as Optical Science and Engineering... You really don't want to die from a high-powered laser.
Besides ionizing the air and causing small-scale electrocution effects to a conductive target, you are talking about an explosion if there is any and all liquid that turns into steam, the general ignition of any biological target, not to mention the general explosive/incendiary effects when something suddenly has two radically different amounts of energy and temperature differences.
Just imagine melted bits of burning dropsuit being meshed with your skin after the hit, too... |

Death by lasers at their current levels is rather unpleasant and excruciating way to go.
Imagine http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jj5CG9kzDYY#t=1m15s but no explosion and under 5 seconds of exposure and the first second of exposure of a high powered laser is enough to make you stop everything you're doing.

Haha my grandfather used to always talk about how dangerous TV repair was. The old ones, that is. You didn't feel anything until post the current?
So I wonder if death by electrocution is similar; since you're dead you wouldn't feel anything.
That moves electrocution way down the list imo. CCP Mintchip // Twitter - @CCP_Mintchip Dust 514 Community Rep |

I just...why is... hmmm... What the hell happened?!? All I said was a game mechanic was working better and it turned into this??
I will say this though for knives being a bad way to go. I was taught a little ninjitsu (kinda) and was basically taught if you want to do maximum damage you have to avoid bones, which rules out given them a quick death. One particularly nasty one was to dart forward under the opponents guard (what the least expect you to do in combat) basically hug them with the knife pointed towards you (bearing in mind how long the blade is first so you don't stab yourself, obviously) and insert it just off centre (avoiding the spine, about where a kidney would be) and then in one fluid movement run the blade around the front all the way to the other side.

I try to avoid everything as a ninja. I'm learning to pick my targets and evade if spotted. All I'm missing is a proto scout and a cloaking equipment. I wouldn't know about electrocution seen as that is death via electricity (so if you tell someone that you have been electrocuted you are lying, as it is a portmanteau of electricity and execution. So you only got electrocuted if you died. Shocked if you lived.)
But imagine cramping, everywhere and like your muscles contracting and relaxing at what ever frequency the current is at if it is A.C.. DC.. imagine cramping, but burning as well as your body provides resistance. |

However i have been electrocuted multiple times (this happens when you are fixing tv's on the cheap with tools that are not really meant for the job... and by tv's i mean the old CRT tv's that have step up transformers to pump 10kv to the picture tube) While i was getting shocked i didnt feel a thing but once the breaker popped all the muscles along the path the current took and surrounding area were sore as hell from contracting as hard as they possibally could for a few seconds. Haha my grandfather used to always talk about how dangerous TV repair was. The old ones, that is. You didn't feel anything until post the current? So I wonder if death by electrocution is similar; since you're dead you wouldn't feel anything. That moves electrocution way down the list imo. Electrocution probably overloads the electrical impulses in your body preventing the pain signal from reaching your brain. |

Being shot would be worse if there's nothing immediately available to plug the holes. Hint: tampons are great for gunshot wounds.
Well 1. no one ever knifes someone in a game and then leaves the knife. That guy always runs away triumphantly feeling like a boss.
Haha, but also! I don't there are tampons, since the clones wouldn't opt for the parts that do that.

they aren't really working as intended. Least not when I'm using them...

Funny Story, Corp Mate and I were running along the outside wall of an objective when suddenly, out of the sky fell a dropship and squished him. Yes, he died and the pilot did get the road kill. I couldn't stop laughing, it was so sudden and classic. |

It starts off with a tingle, then it gets warm then really really really numb, then you're just feel like you want to puke the whole world out but you forgot how.
240v 115 amp electrocution couple years back though that was the output source into the device that zapped I have no idea what was the actual electrocution voltage at but it felt very unplesant. |

Battle clones at least. Considering the average lifespan is measured in single digit minutes, there's not really much point wasting biomass on something you're not going to use. CCP Logibro // EVE Universe Community Team // Distributor of Nanites // Patron Saint of Logistics

Well, even though they have cloning and consciousness transferring technology doesn't mean they have the tech to alter genes.. Are these clones grown, or made? Remember, the Jovians tried genetic mutation, and look where that got them. |
