Updated, synchronized, logged on all normally. Except now voice chat isn't working at all.
I've tried relogging and even turning off and restarting my PS3, all to no avail. I asked someone in my corp and they said it's working, though. |

I had tried Corporation, Squad, and a few player-made ones--all of which didn't work.
When I relogged and it did work, all of those same channels worked again. |

ditto. tried all channels, corp, team, squad. relogging, restarting, recalibrating bluetooth. nothing works.
also, when i used to not turn on my headset i used to be able to hear who was in my squad or team chat through my TV but now NONE of it is working. |

IE when i logged in instead of going to my main virgindestroyer7 i logged into my alt on the same ID moustacherider7. then i logged off, and went to virgindestroyer7 and it worked. |

That appears to have worked. My mic icon is back. Haven't squaded up yet to test but before I had no icons.

I have the same issue. I have also tired everything, switching channels didn work, soft and hard resets didn't work, logging into a dif character then back to original on same account didn't work, I even deleted and re-downloaded and installed the game again and that didn't work. It was very rough not being able to communicate last night. Not only could I not talk but I also couldn't hear anyone. Hope this gets resolved soon. I have my fingers crossed! |

Updated and logged in. No comms.
Restarted multiple times. No comms.
Unplugged PS3 and waited a few minutes before starting up again, still no comms.
Tried the character switch, didn't work. And today's hotfix didn't do anything to help either. How frustrating. >.< |

No comms for me either, switched off and on, tried all channels. Even the good old switch voice off, restart then turn back on didn't work.

on voice all day yesterday. reset multiple times. tried switching characters. used eve character to hear. but trying to speak was far too laggy. gave up. today. I tried after the hotfix. no go. I uninstalled dust. reinstalled... still .. swapped characters. still ... WTF!!
I guess its tied to the client or playstation because I have the same issue with another psn account on the same playstation. |

The char swap work around works for me, but still no comms when I first boot up Dust.
I use a Plantronics 320 Bluetooth headset if that helps. |

It seems to be every update ccp puts out they rather forgot or forget to fix the headset communication. To me this game is all about team work and when my corp can hear each other but I'm in the dark I don't play. Ccp please stop forgetting this recurring issue. |

If you know of any bugs tat cause a disconnection then try that.
I was in a sqd of three and a new member applied to our corp, I got hit by the disconnection bug going into the corp menu.
When I logged in again, my mic activated and I've not had the mic since inception of 1.5.
I can see my speech bubble and when i talk it lights up and i can also speak with some other corp members again. :)
CCP, cause a disconnection to every one with mic issues to correct the problem lol. |

For me for coms, squad, team, corp all went down and were not useable, people were cut off mid sentence and then silence after that. Corp usually did not go down as fast or easily, however, squad usually went down every time within 5 minutes. |

Same thing. Nothing (even character switching) worked, until suddenly I was disconnected and when I reconnected, then voice worked perfectly. Has happened twice now. |

After reading this I tried simply signing out of psn through the xmb, relogging, and viola it works just like before.
So just sign out of psn while ingame and it should be fixed. |

Same issue here. When i log in for the first time i have literally no comms but when i log out of my char (via the ingame system) and log stright back into the same char i usually can use voice chat in all rooms. And yes this issue happends on team, squad, corp and player made channels. |

Was getting a lot of errors and hard freezes, so I did a fresh install that gave me this bug while fixing none of the other issues. Deleted saved game data, which did not help. While in game, I disconnected from the psn network and logged back in still in game, and it fixed it. |

I should say that my comms just stopped working yesterday. I will try resetting my network next and seeing how that affects this particular issue. |

got many friends that have to relog as the join the squad. One simple logout and login fixes the bug for all of them. This happens everyday and with the same characters.
I never had this problem. Only time voice didn't work I turned off my headset and then back on (PS3 original v2).
Only time it didn't work for a friend, he realized the voice setting was off in the PS3 settings (somehow went off). May be worth checking into it. Also if u got the voice bubble in chat but can't talk/hear it probably means you have voice disabled, muted mic, push-to-talk, or the other player(-s) may not have voice activated in that channel/squad.

I finally got my mic to work 3 days after the issue started by repeatedly unplugging and replugging in my mic. I hope I don't have to do that each time I log on.
Now with more obscenities!

if your ever having mic problems do this. This hasnt failed me yet.
1)Turn off mic or unplug
2) Deactivate "voice" (the green dot in what ever chat your talking in)
3)Go to DUST 514 settings and turn off voice chat
4)Turn on headset.
5)Turn on voice chat it DUST 514 settings.
6)Then activate voice on the chat you want.
I have been using this method from 1.3 when I had my first mic problem and it hasnt failed me |

I'm bumping this because the issue appears to be back in 1.7. Every time I've logged in since the patch, I need to log off my character and reselect him again and log in to active comms. It only takes a few seconds so it isn't game-changing, but still..
Hopefully the solutions in the first post will help some people.
