Why is it that swarm launchers never miss unless something gets in the way? I drove straight at a guy that launched his swarm but by the time he had fired I was passing him and the missiles were flying in the opposite direction that I was going in. A second later, I blew up.....so apparently the rockets did an instant 180. Sorry but that just makes no sense. |

Not that I advocate RL comparisons all the time, but you said it didn't "make sense".
But it does. :-/
... NOW, is it balanced? Completely different question. Carry on...
It doesn't make sense. No modern rocket can pull a 180 that fast. |

It's not like I knew he had a swarm launcher until he fired it.
@ Hackerzilla, I am not blindly defending my point, but it does sound like you were trying to blindly state a fact without doing research of your own. I am part of a military family, I have spent a lot of time on military bases (lived on one for 8 years), watched a lot of AFN (i wonder if you even know what that means), and I know quite a bit about military technology. I plan on joining the Air Force after finishing a little more of my college education. Not to mention, with a little common sense and basic knowledge of physics you would know that something traveling at the speeds of a rocket would have a pretty damn difficult time just doing an instant 180, and then on top of that regaining control and seeking out its target. While we do have some amazing technology and missiles out there, there isn't anything right now that has that capability. |

How? The big black thing on his shoulders didn't give you a hint?
I was just driving through trying to run over the other 5 guys there....wasn't really paying attention to the what they had in their hands. They all just looked like bugs about to hit my windshield to me. |

... NOW, is it balanced? Completely different question. Carry on... It doesn't make sense. No modern rocket can pull a 180 that fast. How can you be sure of that? Did you do you're research? Probably not and you're blindly defending your point. Swarms are supposed to be easy because if you spec into a weapon only meant to counter one thing, then it should be either easy or really good. Currently swarms is both, which is bad. well i have and no modern missile can. in fact its impossible for maneuvers i have seen swarms do. i seen plenty of RL missiles being fired with my own eyes.
EXACTLY! I mean don't get me wrong modern missiles can turn and do other maneuvers, but none can do a 180. Especially since the 180 the swarms did had to have taken place in under 40m. Everyone is taking the "Sorry but that just makes no sense" part of my post all wrong. I was not referring to it locking on, I was just saying that it was ridiculous that the rockets were fired in the opposite direction of me and did a 180 instantly...
And to the guy who said this "Of course it makes sense, why do you think there is a "Lock on time/period" ?" Just because it locks on doesn't mean it makes sense. |
