That's fine, the match I was in that I was actually on their side was awesome. :) What I don't get though is why everyone on the opposite side doesn't go AV? I have rarely seen a tank that can survive a single militia swarm launcher, I can't imagine any of them surviving 6 or 16 of them. In most matches that I've been in, it only takes destroying one tank to get all of them to pack up and go home. Some people don't skill into AV, and/or they delete the starter fits after playing for awhile. They might be used to running in squads where "someone else" takes care of that. You get the right collection of no-AV people running solo in a pub match, and then the tanks just roll over them. High enough level tankers can shrug of people running MLT Swarms anyhow, especially if the MLT Swarm crowd amounts to 1 or 2 people that aren't working together. There's a post elsewhere here where three guys spider tanking took on another team with at least 3 or 4 to 1 odds. AV being "OP" doesn't help people if they haven't made AV fits or skilled into it. It's similar to a team not having any one using links (you run into this in pubs). I guess in other matches or what-not, they're used to having someone else handle that for them, so none of them skilled into droplinks or feel like running those fits. So, they get routed easily, and no one can get out of the red zone because there's no spawn points elsewhere and the enemy is gunning people down when they spawn.

I switch to AV immediately when i see armor on the field, and if i see more that one LAV or a dropship. Why? Because those fukkers need to be punished, hard and repeatedly, without remorse, for having the arrogance to deploy into my theatre of operations. And for the LAV drivers, it's personal - i will make you pay for years for your murdur taxi lameness. I sincerely hope i'm not alone in this. We all need to work together to make the world a better place, after all. =) B-but all I was doing was flying around performing tricks in the air and squishing snipers on towers ;_; |

Since LAVs have been brought back to annoying mosquitoes, I packed away the AV Grenades on every fit. I still have my Prototype AV fit way at the bottom of the list. If I feel it necessary, I'll take down a couple HAVs. If its TeamPlayers legend HAV guy... I hide or just leave.
HAVs normally take team work to bring down, when they are good HAV players, but nobody takes the initiative. I don't blame them.
Switch to Swarms, the infantry will get you. Keep with infantry, the HAVs will destroy you... 3-4 tanks on one team spells victory because the whole other team switches to Swarms, and that's when the infantry riding shotgun pop out and kill unarmed enemies, then hide back in the tank.
HAVs have the circumstance and power to be unbeatable in this game. DUST may eventually turn into HAV Wars, where the footsoilder is a bygone formality |

My Glass Cannon gunnlogi fit, will eat milta swarms all day long. Now imagine when I pull out my heavy mitigation tank. Your puny swarms are more like bees stinging my metal body. |

If you did your would ruin Vehicle play for ever.... and would eventually seem massive nerfs to AV if everyone could simply and easily skill into high level AV..... oh wait they can? They wont nerf it?..... oh well.... |

Umm, blueberries... Jumping OUT of my tank to engage Av when i'm in trouble? Wtf you smokin? All blueberries i find try and be as useless as possible, even jumping ship and running away first swarm they see. Infantry actually backing up a tank? Also, want to know wtf you're smoking. All i ever get is idiots trying to jump on top of my tank to spam nades behind me or throw nanohives or just spin in circles spamming AR. The ones that do jump in spam the allied MCC or they attack every installation with my blaster turrets. If a Mlt swarmer gets on top a spot where i can't escape within the first 4 shots, i'm sitting out for the majority of the match to regen HP Edit: i don't tank on this character, it's on my alt, Cantankerous Giant. |
