Any basic medium suits, two shield extenders and droplink. Specialise in SMG's and learn to use a LAZOR you will need SP into electronics or you will need mods to operate it, potentialy canceling out your low slots.
You could then then either upgrade your suit to one with more CPU, idealy an assault or comparable logi depending on the low /high slots fittings, or you will wait until you have enough SP into electronics to work a basic suit with two shield extenders, armour mod and armour repair. Offset the hit in speed from the armour and invest in suit Biotics. Then invest only shields and Armour skills.
If your quick and good with the SMG you can generaly take out advanced/proto heavies at close range with plenty of shield and armour.
Also the Amarr will give you a mad cool down bonus on your lazor over heating. Basicaly it gives you a quarter of the time more just to fire it, its ammo clip is huge and the longer you hold your beam a damage accumulator kicks in. These things are deadly precision weapons, only if you enjoy close range gun battles in heavily fortified areas with plenty of cover on either side at 50m.
Not sure how much the cool down is worth it though over any suit that gives shield or armour repair bonuses.
Also with droplinks though if you want to harvest WP dont just spam them, use them to spam enemy clone points in domination and think about where you are putting them. Its an insta recal for folk that have been killed that cannot afford the time it takes to run back after death. Nothing wins a battle more than being able to get your squads to any fighting faster to the enemy, you will probably win throw fire superiority. Thats really important when you start loosing letters everywhere.
If you want to be a front line infantryman in the trenches dodging bullets at 0 to 30 meters every few seconds specialise in droplinks or deffinatly become a field medic. |

I do not recommend lazors for CQC. However if you have experience of dislodging enemies from a fortified position at 50m or more the lazor is a deadly precision weapon. If you know how it works. The SMG as stated, is for CQC, but anything around 50m in cover the lazor is pretty deadly.

No.
Scanners are perhaps useful for scouts who when out hacking or harassing solo can update randoms around the map, fair enough but when a concentrated gun battle enfolds the enemy position is already abundantly obvious and drop links are essential.
This fit was for a front line infantryman whose sole purpose is to kill and to secure and defend strategic positions around the map. |
