You think the shutdown is Obama's fault? It is pretty clear that a bunch of Tea Party fucktards are having fit like a bunch of 2 year olds. Why? Because of a law that was voted on and passed by voters, enacted by democratically elected officials, caused the re-election of said democratically elected officials, and was upheld by the Supreme Court. What they are doing is not only undemocratic it is at best destructive towards their party and more importantly America as a whole. Over what? Giving people health care? Absolutely absurd! Every other first world Nation in the world has Universal Healthcare. Republicans also forget that it was THEY that adopted the ACA from a Professor Mark Pauly as an alternative to Bill Clintons proposal back in the 90s. But, suddenly its bad because of Obama. Its obvious that they are doing this because they don't want to hand Obama a political victory. Which is somehow more important than your life. That segment of the GOP absolutely disgusts me on a personal level at this point in time. |

to many politicians in government..
they r all idiots up there..
Obama included..
it almost seems that the dumb guy always wins the elections.
im pretty sure they r the ones who have no clue as to what to do to fix.
im pretty sure if a smart person who actually knows whats going on. would do a much better job on fixing the country..
but it seems that we only have idiot corrupt politicians.
a clueless president.
and many other problems.
with all this talking and all the sides its really really stupid as far as im concerned.. at this point im not sure who to blame and would say its easier to blame all of them for screwing up.
as many problems we have been seeing with our government i still see no good reason to shut it down.
i think the best solution is to do some massive replacing so we can get rid of the idiots and replace them with ppl that will actually try to fix everything. as of right now it just sounds like lies and corruption..
im annoyed by it and also sick of it.
we need to add a new party to the government.
it should be called the all other factions are stupid faction.
and just fill it up with ppl who can run the country better than the ppl currently...

"But we don't like the ACA!" "But we do like it!" "We can't have it cause I don't want it!" "But we won't not have it!"
Several months later...
"It's your fault we shutdown the government, you didn't accept our spending plan!" "No it's your fault!"
Anybody wonder why they couldn't have compromised on it instead of just turning their backs to one another until the governments shuts down so they can point more fingers? |

Yep 2 most powerful things the president has at his disposal are the military ( he is all powerful in that regard being the commander in chief ) and the power to veto. Here is the funny thing though his power to veto isnt absolute. So really the president can't even stop things from becoming law the the senate or congress get enough for a majority vote they can push right past the presidents veto. So really blaming the president for anything other than military action is barking up the wrong tree. |

To me the real kick in the pants is that all the people that caused the government shutdown are not affected by said shut down at all. Nope only people affected by it are basically all the people that have to work for a living and likely live pay check to pay check. Extended government shutdowns could mean for some very hard times for these people not to mention if it is extended for a long time it might affect soldiers pay as well. Do you think for one moment the utility companies or banks are going to be forgiving that these people are suddenly unable to pay? I dont expect so.

Its not really about the healthcare. Its about making Obama fail as a President so they gain political points during next election cycle. Problem is they are sacrificing the public's health for this. People would literally die because of them if they manage to get their way. Lack of preventative health care in the United States actually drives up costs of insurance too.
Now the Republican's are playing games with America's finances. If they don't raise the debt ceiling America will default on its loans which will cause a huge ripple affect that will be felt in other nations as well considering the dollar is the cornerstone of the current financial institutions and the oil trade.
This is basically them committing political suicide and taking as many of us with them as they can. |

Hmm... yeah I can understand why Obama doesn't want to negotiate. And yes the TEA Party(Terrorists Extorting America) is the blame sorry.

March 2010: "We can't believe you just passed healthcare." April 2010: "We are going to overturn healthcare." Sept 2010: "We are going to repeal healthcare." Jan 2011: "We are going to destroy healthcare." Feb 2012: "We are going to elect a candidate who will immediately revoke healthcare." June 2012: "We will go to the Supreme Court, and they will overturn healthcare." Aug 2012: "The American people will never re-elect you, because they don't want healthcare." Oct 2012: "We can't wait to win the election and explode healthcare." Nov 2012: "We can't believe you just got re-elected and that we can't repeal healthcare." Feb 2013: "We're still going to vote to obliterate healthcare." June 2013: "We can't believe the Supreme Court just upheld healthcare." July 2013: "We're going to vote like 40 more times to erase healthcare." Sept 2013: "We are going to leverage a government shutdown into defunding, destroying, obliterating, overturning, repealing, dismantling, erasing and ripping apart healthcare."
