CCP, could we get a post like this stickied on the front of the forums so people know where you guys are headed for the moment? This came up in the CPM Q&A today and I was wondering why I didn't see anything about the roadmap on the front page.
In addition, do you guys have any idea for the *next* 6 months in terms of a roadmap? A general idea of what would be in store, in list forum like above post, could be very beneficial for all of us. |

CCP doesn't know, hence, no road map will be done in stone.
The way FoxFour explained it, it's like this.
Each team is working on their project, and every update for the month = whatever each team has finished. So 1.5 will be some small updates + what Team True Grit finished (added corp roles)
So if CCP has no idea what their teams will finish work on every month, then obviously planning a monthly road map is useless. |

for the most part though, they have stuck to that roadmap over the monthly cycle iterations.

and as you can see, a lot of those bullet points have been covered since the monthly iteration cycle has started. Overall, CCP has stuck well to that goal. Maybe if they referred back to that roadmap more often, people would get an idea of where they're heading. Also, a new updated roadmap for the next several months would be nice as well. |

Yeah - another 6 months of priorities would be great - well done on sorting the last 6 months'.

You know, they have done fairly well with that old 6 month road map. Vehicle balance is being pushed back a bit, but is still expected to hit within that 6 month window. |

It's not. They haven't given us a roadmap... ever. Remember six+ months ago when they told us they were going to be releasing one? I do, where it is yo? This is how CCP gets away with never having anything finished, and taking months to do a balance. It's obvious that unless it's a major flaw CCP has the philosophy "It can wait." Without a road map they don't have any standards or "goals" to adhere by, so when the finish date comes around and they realize all that drinking has caught up to them they can just be like eh. I've now dedicated this football defense song sung by cheerleaders to CCP:

Lol dude, you linked to a crappy dev blog from three months ago. Trust me when I say that is all you should ever expect is a list of things they would "like" to get done. Not a list of things that will be done. And expect them sporatically, maybe one every 2-3 months if we're lucky. Really there is no reason to ask or expect a roadmap considering the fact that those of us that have been here for 2+ years know that even if they ever did release a road map they would never stick to it. Hell half the things on that list you linked still isn't here. |

Introduced in 1.4

Touched up on 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 1.5 and will continued to be hit up on.

Supposivly inbound with the vehicle changes by Team Kong, originally scheduled for 1.5 but set back due to imbalance, incompletion, and technical difficulties.

So, I end up linking the roadmap that was provided to us and you dismiss it as a crappy devblog. Coolstorybro. As per IWS post, he is right in that most of all the things listed on that roadmap have been completed since that roadmap's creation. I agree though that a newer roadmap is in order so we players have an idea of what to expect in the coming months. We're itching for content! (PVE anyone? ) |
