DUST Search - Does anybody else laugh their a** off at Proto stompers?

But infantry will do just fine. If i find myself in cqc a i switch to my hgm with complex damage mod this suit is the more expensive of my everyday suits running like 30k or so. I find that using proto gear just does not make much difference for me personally. I might die a few less times but running cheaper suits is much better on my wallet. The forge gun will probably always be my favorite though simply because it reminds me of a bazooka in some ways.

You do bring up the point of losing money every match. People who argue "you just can't afford to run Proto" that's why you btch about it aren't fooling anyone. The payouts for pubs are so low that dying twice becomes a losing match as far as ISK. They lose money just the same, but can dig into a Corp fund to replenish, lol. I don't complain about it. I genuinely laugh at it. I don't use my Protogear on a every time basis because you WILL die from bullsht and I don't want to lose a chance at profit because my enemies bullets curved around a wall and killed me. Or a guy that makes the entire match about killing specifically YOU. They will keep coming and coming, and eventually some Militia fit will land a stray bullet and kill you. I've lost more money than I've made in my DUST career, sometimes from getting stomped, and sometimes from having fun and being stupid. As far as the thread going this long... most of my threads do; well after I lose interest in them an hour later, lol. But I thought I'd do a follow up just this once.

True. ADV is more than effective. You can take on a PRO and come out on top more often than not. My SCR class is ADV fit, and it cleans house more often than not. EXCEPT when I come across some Gallant Logi with 800 HP, 600 of it being in Armor Tanking. I'll hit them with a charged shot and follow up with my 4-5 killshots and not make a dent... at that point I just sigh and say "hurry up and kill me already, I'm not getting out of this one". So you were using gear that you had earned legitimately, you were a one man wrecking ball of destruction in every game you played and earning a fortune of ISK and SP, yet it made you feel "dirty" and you had to stop yourself being so OP. I tried to think of a nice way to say this but I couldn't, I think you're full of ****. Sorry to be rude but that pretty much sums it up.

Its not that I can't perform well in a 50K isk suit with a GEK, I hardly notice any difference at all. The main difference between the cheap and the expensive fits are the equipment I can field. Proto uplinks, proto hives(R) and a proto scanner. My team mates at least should be thankful fo me putting 200K isk on the line most times I spawn in. And thats just it, the risk vs reward thing that is so unique to Dust. Risk loosing a bunch of money and suddenly the game just gets a little more intense and interresting. And on average? I use proto suits ranging between 100 and 200 K isk, and yes, I do make a profit on average.

Ummm a 14/3 score pays out 180-220k isk on average, so you are using Protosuits with a value of 70.000 isk ?, basically you deploy in a protosuit with nothing but militia stuff in it ? wow yeah thats soo proto baddass

My life is actually pretty Win atm, 2x R32 GTR Skylines in my garage, one of witch is a limited edition with only 200 recalled & re-build by Nismo Japan the otherone just a basic V-Spec @ 320 hp and 440 hp for the Nur-Spec, my appartment was payed off way back when i was still 27 and ive played Counterstrike @ tournament lvl back before i had to retire due to Carpal Tunnel Syndrome with 60% reduced motor control because i didnt quit soon enough, though nothing affecting my daily life today or stomping people with no motor fine control to speak of. My life is actually pretty Win atm, 2x R32 GTR Skylines in my garage, one of witch is a limited edition with only 200 recalled & re-build by Nismo Japan the otherone just a basic V-Spec @ 320 hp and 440 hp for the Nur-Spec, my appartment was payed off way back when i was still 27 and ive played Counterstrike @ tournament lvl back before i had to retire due to Carpal Tunnel Syndrome with 60% reduced motor control because i didnt quit soon enough, though nothing affecting my daily life today or stomping people with no motor fine control to speak of.
