''protostompers'' are NOT a PROBLEM. Here is why:
-Using proto is of course an advantage, but usually proto fits cost at leats x3 times more than an advanced fit, so while playing with an advantage you are also playing with more risk
-''Proto stompers'' are needed to get good isk killing them. Proto or no proto, Dust514 is a game where 1 solo proto user CAN be dropped by 1 ADV/STD/MLT player,and between 2+ organized players the difference is vs a proto player is minimal.
(I mean 2 ADV Logis with GEK can drop pretty much anythingg, my cal logi ADV packs 780 HP , my adv Amarrs 690 HP)
-Proto players give an incentive for players looking for a more challenging game. How many times am i playing against randoms and then 2 proto players enter the game and start wiping out my team? time for some action >:3
Proto users run their suits for different purposes:
1-Most common: AVR players Proto stumping pub matches to pad K-D ratio. Sad but well..some people consider K-D ratio the ultimate stat. Different people have different opinions....
2-Players (like me) that have enough money to afford it. I MUST clarify, i dont have any suit proto except my minnie scout, that i DO use in occation if a scout is needed. (130k ISK)
3-Players that get ''squad stomped'' and in order to make the difference they sacrifice ISK for their team to have some advantage.
I honestly dont have ANYTHING vs proto users.
Plus ; what feels better ? =
1HKO a MLT/STD suit with my Scrambler rifle, or drop a proto gallante logi at while hes trying to get close with his duvolle? XD
I know you know the answer to this....
