Omega Boosters are back, and if you're like me, you're trying to figure out if you want to buy a booster and which you want to get. I was bored this morning so I decided to try to figure out which booster gives you the most bang for your buck. At the end of the day, you're paying for SP. Which booster gives you the most SP for your AUR?
Here is my math.
ACTIVE -
Weekly Cap 190,400 x2 Week Cap 380,800 x3 Week Cap 571,200
Weekly Cap w/ AOB 380,800 x2 Week Cap w/ AOB 761,600 x3 Week Cap w/ AOB 1,142,400
Weekly Cap Gain 190,400 x2 Week Cap Gain 571,200 x3 Week Cap Gain 952,000
Weekly Gain per AUR 10.88 x2 Week Gain per AUR 32.64 x3 Week Gain per AUR 54.4
PASSIVE (30 Day) -
30 Day Passive 720,000
30 Day Passive w/ POB 1,440,000
30 Day Passive Gain 720,000
30 Day Passive Gain per AUR 11.08
WHAT THIS ALL MEANS
If you are impatient and decide not to wait for an SP event, the Passive Omega is slightly a better deal (.2 SP Gain per AUR). You would only have to earn 4,000 total active SP after capping to make the Active Booster a better deal. This is just the regular Booster without a coinciding event. Using Active Omegas during any SP multiplier event will drastically improve your SP Gain per AUR spent.
IN CONCLUSION
I would only get Active Omegas and use them during SP events. It makes sense for me because I always cap my character. If you don't cap every week, I'd still argue to get Active Omega solely for SP Event use. You wouldn't have to cap to have a better SP Gain per AUR line. Ultimately, Active Omegas are the better deal overall. You can still get x2 SP once you hit soft cap. Passive Omegas hard cap at 720,000.
I hope this helps anyone still on the fence!

Now all I need to do is find the flipping time to cap out every week.
I'll be getting some more Aur on Friday (payday) so might squirrel some omegas away for a rainy day. |

Heyn+îguy, I think there're something wrong in your math
Quote:Weekly Cap 190,400 x2 Week Cap 380,800 x3 Week Cap 571,200
Weekly Cap w/ AOB 380,800 x2 Week Cap w/ AOB 761,600 x3 Week Cap w/ AOB 1,142,400
Weekly Cap Gain 190,400 x2 Week Cap Gain 571,200 x3 Week Cap Gain 952,000
Weekly Cap Gain 190,400 x2 Week Cap Gain 761,600-380800=380,800 x3 Week Cap Gain 1,142,400-571,200=571,200 Even though I don't use any Booster, the base of Weekly Cap still can be gotten. So, the Gain with AOB is not so big like you think.
The other problem is, will CCP have the Event like x2 or x3 like the past? We all saw how [BEEP~] the event is when 1.4 releasing. |

I was actually typing this up when I saw you already posted the issue haha. This is what I found too. I'm probably not going to bother with the boosters. |

Ah but the actives allow for tricks for the truly dedicated, that is if stacking works like it used to, meaning if you activate a booster before your current runs out, it rides the most recent booster activated.
Stick with me. Someone else can do the math
1 AOB + 8 3 day ABs = what in AUR? 17,500 + 8(3500) = 45,500 AUR
Now, activated AOB on Wednesday and cap out in 48 hours, then activate 2 3 day boosters back to back. When they run out, you will be past the next reset when the original 7 day AOB kicks back in. Rinse and repeat. Week two will be capping out on the next two consecutive days. And so on.
Potentially, you could stretch that 1 AOB across 3-5 weeks for some serious x2 SP on a budget.
You could get more exact by mixing in 1 day boosters, but it would cost more. |

That's very clever.
But what does it do for your SP per AUR?
Also if you avoid capping out until later in the week you can make things a little simpler. |
