Yeah, its a small portion of people from a single party from a single branch of government who are basically holding America hostage until they get what they want. Well guess what Republicans? America doesn't negotiate with terrorists. Now get back to work and start representing the people. |

Actually, no States have ever seceded because it is unconstitutional. The constitutional basis of secession was resolved during the civil war. You guys lost so face the facts. There is no right to secede, as the Pledge of Allegiance clearly illustrates through the line GÇ£one nation, indivisible.GÇ¥

That is the way I see it, anyway. Happened last year. Forgot what it was about, though.
I do have a suspicion it was about the debt ceiling or something of the like.
Actually, last year was about the debt ceiling. The Republican's threw a fit and refused to pay the bills so the United States lost its AAA credit rating. The government was not shut down though. This is the first time it has been shut down since Clinton was in office, which is two decades. Ironically enough last time it got shut down a bunch of Republicans were throwing a hissy fit too. Which in turn lead to an all Democratic Congress the following election because people got pissed off.
I predict the same this time around. Kamikaze missions rarely turn out well and that is what the GOP is doing by holding America hostage. |
