I think scouts should be able to hide from all scanners when fully skilled up without using dampeners. We sacrifice a lot to be stealthy. Giving up slots to hide is not even worth it. We need our speed to get away and sneak up on unsuspecting prey. We cant do both. |

If people would stop trying to brick tank their scouts and actually damp themselves, we might have less QQ threads. @ OP: Great video, would definitely recommend it for any aspiring scout.
I guess u dont fully understand. Mini scout cant even dampen enough to hide from focused scanner. Id have to give up speed and essential hp to do this. A completely stealthy scout is as good as dead as soon as ur spotted. Its worthless.

Should we have rep tools & injectors built into logi suits for free too? There's no point in having higher level scanners if scouts don't even have to try and evade them.
As much sp as I have to sink into being that stealthy. It outways what u spend on scanners.

As much sp as I have to sink into being that stealthy. It outways what u spend on scanners. So? A dampener costs a hell of a lot less in fitting space than a scanner. Fitting a proto scanner on a logi is a serious investment in terms of PG management. I don't think scouts should have to dedicate their entire fitting to dampening. But neither do I think that they should be able to stack some passive bonuses & never have to worry about it again.
I can settle on this. Basically all I really wanted to say is for the amount of sp and performance loss in the entire suit, its pointless to even run it. I have to sacrifice 3 low slots( meaning far less speed) while scanners only consume an equipment slot. Just seems a little unbalanced to me. But hey, if everyone is happy with that then I have no argument.

It's way more fun than anytime before :D
This isn't about loosing suits. Its about an unbalance between stealth and scanning. Maybe while your in dust uni, they can teach u reading comprehension. |

We cant do both. thats what i said some time ago... a scout shouldnt have to equip dampers to be stealthy...dampers and all the other electronics should only help the other suits to become basic scout skills...
Its how I feel. This game is about designing a character how u want them to be. There isn't many options as a scout. Scanners are making those options even more limited.
Edit: I do think that we should still need lvl 5 in profile dampening. I was not clear on this before. Maybe that being added more would agree. |

Curious to see what they have in store for the scouts. Its really not much that we need to be a more balanced class. Small tweaks in a few places would do the trick. |

When I run my minnie scout with dual kin kats I run at just over 9 M/S, yes I know that isn't very fast but it's an alt. Even when I'm running at that speed and trying to evade I still get hit just as easily as I do on my assault main. It seems that speed tanking is almost worthless now. It is worthless these days and I'm kind of glad I didn't go that route after all. I held firm on Tacnet skills; people mocked me. NOW WHAT BITCHES! But I do pity the minnies, who's primary line of defense was speed tanking. Put that magic word in there for a reason. I can't wait till the scouts get buffed. I can't find the OP, but there was a CPM who said the the scout buff would be speed/stealth oriented. No arguments there. They just need to make more changes than that :P
I agree. But id prefer baby steps than a super buff that would get followed by the nerf bat. It not only allows us to adjust, it also allows everyone else to adjust to our new capabilities. Most things that we have seen get the buff they need get misconstrued because they do so much better than before and appear op when they really aren't.
