My brothers... we have come upon hard times. Scanners have made it nigh impossible to fulfill or role as stealthy operators and assassins. However, I have here a handy guide to tell you all that you need to know about not being seen. Please take a few minutes of your day to watch this. You won't regret it.

I think scouts should be able to hide from all scanners when fully skilled up without using dampeners. We sacrifice a lot to be stealthy. Giving up slots to hide is not even worth it. We need our speed to get away and sneak up on unsuspecting prey. We cant do both. |

I guess u dont fully understand. Mini scout cant even dampen enough to hide from focused scanner. Id have to give up speed and essential hp to do this. A completely stealthy scout is as good as dead as soon as ur spotted. Its worthless.

'Course, if that's too hard, maybe the scout suit isn't for you. I rarely go less than 1.0 with my militia scout setup (which evades tons of scanners, even though it only uses a militia damp). |

Should we have rep tools & injectors built into logi suits for free too? There's no point in having higher level scanners if scouts don't even have to try and evade them. |

As much sp as I have to sink into being that stealthy. It outways what u spend on scanners.

So? A dampener costs a hell of a lot less in fitting space than a scanner. Fitting a proto scanner on a logi is a serious investment in terms of PG management. I don't think scouts should have to dedicate their entire fitting to dampening. But neither do I think that they should be able to stack some passive bonuses & never have to worry about it again. |

I can settle on this. Basically all I really wanted to say is for the amount of sp and performance loss in the entire suit, its pointless to even run it. I have to sacrifice 3 low slots( meaning far less speed) while scanners only consume an equipment slot. Just seems a little unbalanced to me. But hey, if everyone is happy with that then I have no argument.

This isn't about loosing suits. Its about an unbalance between stealth and scanning. Maybe while your in dust uni, they can teach u reading comprehension. |

Its how I feel. This game is about designing a character how u want them to be. There isn't many options as a scout. Scanners are making those options even more limited.
Edit: I do think that we should still need lvl 5 in profile dampening. I was not clear on this before. Maybe that being added more would agree. |

Because nobody turns around ever right? Nobody has situational awareness in the slightest? If you main as a scout, you WILL get seen eventually. I guarantee it.
This is why the scout is given exceptional shield recharge and speed. It acts as a buffer, and is MEANT to be depleted if need be. We are supposed to be fast enough to get to cover, and then quickly let our shields recharge. It is great for dealing with one target in a group, and then running away before they can kill you (KILL THE LOGI FIRST )
A good scout can remain undetected when he needs to, but avoiding contact altogether makes for a pretty dang useless scout. Hit and run brah.
I DO think that scouts need greater Profile dampening passively though. What is the point of having a suit built for stealth if we have to waste slots just to remain undetected.
FOR EXAMPLE:
An ADV Scout with ADV dampening (Passive) will still be able to be detected by an ADV Scanner. Makes sense right? NOPE. I have to waste a low slot just to remain undetected from a scanner of the same meta level that my suit is supposed to beat!
IMHO, Scouts should NEVER have to use a Dampener (except for the OP Duvolle flux scanner. It's made to detect everything) Dampeners are for NON-SCOUT suits to try and lower their profile. We pay SP so that we DONT have to waste a low slot. |

Well that went out the window with this new aim assist and better hit detection. When I run my minnie scout with dual kin kats I run at just over 9 M/S, yes I know that isn't very fast but it's an alt. Even when I'm running at that speed and trying to evade I still get hit just as easily as I do on my assault main. It seems that speed tanking is almost worthless now. |

Put that magic word in there for a reason. I can't wait till the scouts get buffed.
I can't find the OP, but there was a CPM who said the the scout buff would be speed/stealth oriented. No arguments there. They just need to make more changes than that :P |

I agree. But id prefer baby steps than a super buff that would get followed by the nerf bat. It not only allows us to adjust, it also allows everyone else to adjust to our new capabilities. Most things that we have seen get the buff they need get misconstrued because they do so much better than before and appear op when they really aren't.

Do you use scout most of the time? How much skill do you have in dampening, speed, stamina, range amplification? Can you run proto scout, what race? If neither one and you run medium frame most of the time, and if you tried militia scout and ran a few games where you sneak up on lol snipers and think you can be successful as a scout, you really should not be talking. |
