FUNNY THING IS I WAS GOING TO BUY AT LEAST 2 PASSIVE OMEGAS @ 36K Aur (which is more than the price of the current one). Now, they get zilch from your boy. |

If I fight against people who got some SP due to Omega Boosters or if I fight against people who have 20 Million SP because they played since Beta? What's the difference. Contrary to Eve Online I at least have a chance to catch up. It doesn't matter if its EVE online or Dust, it still takes time to "catch up" I mean.... lets be realistic here, a 1 day old character doesn't have a chance against the same tier ship as someone whos 10 years in. Even a 1 week character doesn't. 1 month though..... then were getting more even. The same thing applies to Dust. A one day old character wont compare to a 6 month vet. And they shouldn't...... But after a week or two, the gap closes considerably (assuming they did the right thing and specialized). Honestly this game (for an MMO) is the most lenient ive ever seen. In any other standard MMO the older player Is just going to win because his skills are likely to be more robust. But in this game even militia suits can kill proto suits under the right circumstances. So as far as balance goes, I think its more then fair honestly.
True, I agree with you
But back to subject @ hand....65K for a passive is ******* **** and it's greedy. They would have made more money if the passive was 36K and the active was 9K. I was honestly, gearing to rack up this week and next week. Now, how much will they get from me? Nada |

The omega 30 day booster gives twice as much extra SP as the normal booster, so you expect it's at least double more, so price it at 56,000 AUR. But then you take into consideration that you are getting these points a full month faster than if you were to just buy two normal 30 day boosters at that price, so add a 9,000 AUR convenience fee and BAM! 65,000 AUR.
I didn't like it at first, but it makes sense and is reasonable. Also no, there is no chance in hell I am buying one. I too think it's reasonable. If you don't like it you can still buy normal boosters or no boosters at all.
There is one born everyday...but in this case, we get a double wammy.
There will always be those that feel CCP can not do any wrong.
Forget that fail justification. Why not..."you just dont start to charge $5 for an item and then bring the exact same model back to sell for $10." |

If you don't like it you can still buy normal boosters or no boosters at all. The problem is that CCP needs money from this game in order to continue developing it. Most of the Subdreddit guys I see on the forums have a non booster, non proto mentality and seem to really, really love Eve. This game doesn't have a subscription. When running a business it must take in more money than it spends in order to be successful. Business 101. Many people aren't buying ANYTHING in this game because they don't trust that there is much of a future. Make the AUR cheaper AND make the AUR items in game cheaper. If you think $32 for 720,000 SP is reasonable then you are honestly the dumbest SOB taking in oxygen at this moment. Dust development gets funded from EVE subscriptions...... Yes the money they get from boosters and such is important. But you people are crazy if you think the AUR market is what keeps DUST afloat. The only real purpose they serve is to show to the CCP board that "hey dust can totally make money! Please invest in us so we can make even more later!" which is arguably just as important, but its whatever. I don't think the company is anywhere near bankruptcy......
Believe it or not...a lot of people have spent at least 2x or 3x the sub fees for an annual Eve account |
