Again, CCP is focusing on mere miscellaneous things (like NPE, in this instance), but what good does that do when everyone gets bored of the lack of released content and they all leave?
Maybe CCP is smarter than I give them credit for, and they are developing this in preparation for the less than 1000 players playing this game in November, so all of the people who are stuck playing this game have another method to squad up when their entire corporation is empty/dead. |

Yep, NPE is fine as it is, for sure. Has it occurred to you that low player counts may be as a result of terrible NPE? Additionally, there's no evidence for a drop down to 1000 players by November, that's just you exaggerating.
You do realize the flux of people leaving is greater than the people coming to play Dust 514?
I'm not going to argue too long about this to you, but I hope you stay here longer than I just so you can witness the game dying for yourself.

I hope so too.
One thing though that makes me think, is that the price of new consoles don't usually drop in noticeable amounts until at least a year and a half after it's release.
I don't expect anything more than a 50 dollar discount on PS4 or Xbox One until Winter 2015, but you will see tons of bundles and such to help increase sales (usually s**t games are bundled with them, unfortunately).
Getting to my point, it's interesting to talk/speculate about the opportune moment to transfer this game from PS3 to PS4; The best decision would be to take advantage of the lack of (a large amount) good exclusives when the PS4 comes out, and release the game on PS4 as soon as possible to take advantage of the hardware (things such as draw distance being solved with more memory to generate a more distant horizon would EASILY reunite many players in this game), but from CCP's player retention standpoint, that won't happen, as not everyone is getting a PS4 on release.
I truly want this game to live up to the release of the PS4, but I really don't see this game living until then. |

What monsters
Define "free", buddy.
Many people I know paid more for this game than they would have for a AAA game, yet, this game is still very stale and slow to perform large content updates that are consistent without being pushed back.
I've spent a total of 10 dollars on this game, and I am truly happy I didn't spend more; When the game releases all of the suits/vehicles before it gets close to dying (completely), I will be happy to pay more for the developers.
Until then, I have many more places I can put my money until I finish my Masters. |

Nor do they make people pay for anything they don't want to.
You are only proving my point; Variable transactions (including none) of money to CCP means variable expectations, ergo, you can't objectively quantify peoples feedback. |

Somebody was trying to objectively quantify people's feedback? I think the point is that if you pay your money take your chances... and don't come whining to us about it. I've put money in and I'm not bitching about anything (putting my money where my mouth is so to speak). If I keep playing it I'll spend some more money. Regardless, it's a free game -- I didn't buy it with the money I spent nor do I get to think I deserve special treatment. In that sense any feedback of similar quality should be of the same value.
Agreed. |
