Ok this weeks ADS question is:
What do you prefer?
Active Shield tanking: The use of active modules (Boosters, Active hardeners ETC.) to help you save your million isk ASD.
Or...
Passive Shield tanking: The use of passive modules (Extenders, Passive hardeners, Regens ETC) to save your million isk ASD.
Personally, I use passive shield tanking, this is my fit:
Highs: 2 Extenders and 2 Passive hardeners.
Lows: 2 Local Power Diagnostics, Or, 1 LPD and 1 Dmg amp.

Do you prefer?
Blasters or missiles on your ADS?
I like missiles when I feel really lazy, when I just want to pull the trigger and have fun! 
But when I want a challenge and want people to say, "Did I really just get killed by a small blaster on a derpship?"
It feels really good when you kill someone with blasters, and the hate mail is soo funny(;
So what do y'all prefer? Fly safe dudes! o7 |

I do active shield booster on a non-assault DS because I'm trying to keep up my speed and erratic movement to dodge hits while offering a CRU or scanning.
I do passive shield extenders for ADS to take an alpha hit while trying to hover and shoot a bit. I might use combination of afterburner with extender when I can fit it better.
Just like tanking. Shield tanks work best with passive for alpha damage. The active modules are for while rolling out to safety vs. an armor tank that needs to roll in with the active mods going. |

Active, I don't understand why anyone passive tanks atm its very slow and i've got better things to do with my time than hover 600m above the battle field waiting for my next chance to take 2 hits and have to do it all over again, my incubus can soak up damage with its active tank, its hardeners reduce the average swarms to guided pea shooters. |

Passive with active hardeners (and a rep on my incubus), that provides the best survivability in my experience. active modules have too many vulnerability windows to be relied on. |
