Should scout suits have high-melee damage? I believe so.
Why? Because Scouts are super-duper weak against any form of weapon and since they're either chasing or being chased, shouldn't we give them the option to strike hard when in CQC?
How would we go about it? Simply giving them an added boost in melee damage. Two times the average damage, should do it. That way people will have a reason to not engage a scout if cornered. |

Wouldn't it hurt them though if Scouts had harder hitting melee attacks and they had lower melee speeds? I mean I would imagine that in a situation where everyone is using basic/standard gear, scouts could take out a Gallente Assault in two-three swings w/o Knives and one-two swings with the Knives if not charged and a O.H.K. by a full charge(that way ninjas could assassinate easily). |

+1 OP. There used to be a B-series scout which had a nice melee damage. I miss those steel elbows. |

can't they get a nova knife bonus if they want to? there are also biotics if you really want to take a guy down up close. |

Yeah. It's my point tho. Having the enhancement already will help boost the damage output when you add on the modules. Scouts should ALWAYS be capable of having more melee damage than any other class of fittings, well at least that's what I'm getting at. |

It makes sense as-is I think. The Heavy had the most melee damage because they're the largest, but it's also hardest for them to close the distance because they're so damn slow. Scouts have the lightest suits, and they CAN get a bonus to melee, but they already have the easiest time both closing the distance and sneaking up on players.
The suit with the most melee damage is the commando I think, but with a maximum of three module slots at PRO and ****-poor speed, they have a hard time taking advantage of it.
Of course, you shouldn't have to look at the worst suit in the game to make a scout look good either. |
