Alright, i know that it's been awhile since you changed this but after talking about it in my squad today i decided to bring it up here.
A few updates ago you removed several of the supply depots around each map, now there is usually only one in open combat space and one in each teams redline.
Here are some of the problems with this, first of all having only one means that one team can have and hold the only place to change suits in the hot zone until a concerted effort is made to drive them out. Next is the fact that tankers (and even spit full swarmers and forgers) like to take out supply depots for the points, thus when destroyed it leaves no place to change suits in the burn zone. And my last point is that having only one in the burn zone often means having to leave your squad on their own while you run across the map to change suits and most likely get killed on the way.
So besides the obvious thing that i'm asking for (more supply depots), i also think that a system to replace destroyed depots after a set amount of time IE 3-5 minutes. This could be done by either dropping one in the same spot as the first, or dropping one in a 75 meter ratus.
Any other ideas from you guys? |

I think this is where the Logi should throw some hives and utilise their ammo / equipment effectively. changing suits is for dead people imo.. shouldnt be an option on the depot. |

Yeesss.... And i am a logi, and we need the supply depots to refresh our hives and equipment. In short there is only so much a logi can do without a supply depot.

I would like to point out that tankers usually destroy supply depots not for points but for the same reason they destroy turrets, it is a big potential AV threat. |

It's also a huge potential support, especially when ammo comes in, please try to refrain from destroying the ones that are decidedly in the friendly zone. |

CCP LogicLoop wrote:This was done in preparation for future things. Can you explain why you made a change to the game early in preparation for future features?
From my perspective this has worsened gameplay a fair bit. The Assault Rifle dominance is partly caused by this because it's the only weapon that can cope with 98% of all situations without needing a supply depot to change the load-out.
I'm asking you not because I want to criticize you but because I've seen this sort of decision before in all parts of Dust. I realize that as a developer you have to concern yourself with the future of the product, but as players we generally look at what's released in a as-is manner. These "temporary" changes don't really improve the product from a customer perspective.
This difference in perspective between Dust-as-in-2-years and Dust-as-currently-released is causing many of the troubles the game is facing, I believe. I'm trying to raise awareness for this issue because it's one of the reasons that I consider Dust not-recommendable for the near future. |

Seriously though.
There weren't enough supply depots before, and now it seems like there's only 1 per map, and one in each redline.
If there isn't going to be a fix for 1.5, at least give us the old ones back.
As a multi-role player, I utilize supply depots as much as possible to change up my strategy when I need to. Not having them around only hinders my playstyle.
There needs to be a lot more, and not just ones in and around bases. They need to be in between objectives just like CRUs. |

the dropping a new one within 75 meters of the original would not work on the outpost https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=80616&find=unread
i think just dropping a new one somwhere else would be better. |

Maybe eventually installations that are destroyed will leave a base that players can call other installations on. Speculation time! |

When, I keep hearing things will be implemented in the future and doing things for that, but I'm not hearing any dates of implementation not even roughly in what patches these will be in. Such examples, are the real marketplace, different vehicles such as jets and rocket packs and hover cycles. So when will whatever you are doing with the supply depos matter except for just limiting down tactical options in the current game. |

That argument is used for turrets too, "they can support you!!!" Does not matter, tankers would rather not rely on anyone but themselves. Huge potential threats outweighs any amount of potential support. |

There's a button change suits on the controller. Just hold L2 for a couple seconds. if it doesn't work try again. always happens the second time. |
