The Caldari magsec SMG and rail rifle will likely add more blue on the battlefield (judging from other Caldari railgun weapons).

The SMG, HMG (and probably the upcoming Minmatar combat rifle's rifle) will need to have more reddish muzzle flash to make their fire more visually unique compared to plasma weapons in my opinion.These are not the main problem.

The main problem is the scrambler weapons and the plasma weapons having the same color. I propose making laser weapons (scrambler pistol, scrambler rifle, and laser rifle) all fire blue-green like the laser rifle. Charge-shots from regular scrambler rifles could be red or even purple, it would look great.

These are not that important, but they are certainly easy to do.

Caldari weapons don't shoot plasma, they shoot railguns and missiles, but they will be gray/black/dark blue in color. Amarr weapons(lasers, with some plasma in scrambler weapons) shoot all the colors, and we already have an Amarr Assault Rifle. Gallente Plasma should be orange and green in color, and yes, their weapons are green. Minmatar don't shoot plasma either, they shoot bullets and explosives, their rounds should be orange/yellow and explodey.

Actually, why not have the Laser Rifle beam start out blue-green, but then become white and have more bloom applied to it the hotter it gets, providing visual feedback to the target about how ****** they're about to be. You could do the same thing with charge shots from the Scrambler rifle.

The rifle coverts lead charges into plasma, and the emission colour of lead is a pale blue, as seen in a flame test. If the plasma cannon also uses lead, then the same thing applies. I don't think you should be able to tell what kind of weapon is shooting just based on colour, since that's breaking immersion. That being said, I do think the laser rifle should be using an intense yellow-white beam to coincide with the 'standard' frequency crystals used by the Amarr, and the scrambler rifle beam should match. The vapour trails behind projectiles should be removed, save for railgun weapons (retained for the sniper rifle, added to the force gun and rail turrets), and the projectile weapons themselves should have bright effective tracers, either yellow, orange, or red.

I do also want some cooler looking laser beams, but that'd probably wait until freq crystals become a thing. Though I'm not entirely sure the scrambler weapons are laser weapons in the common sense of the term. Reading the description of the tech in the scrambler pistols description it almost sounds like it works like an electrolaser, and I frankly think it'd be absolutely ******* awesome to have gold plated guns that shoot lightning.
