Currently there is no reason to use the Gallente over Minmitar. 25% reduction on equipment does next to nothing in standard and advanced levels, and Minmitar is better in every way since it gets a high slot with a relevant passive ability. Proto Gallente only allows you 1 proto EQ instead of ADV, and the tradeoff is lower speed(which means everything in Dust), faster hacking(amazing in Skirmish and OMS, and makes Gallente look like **** in PC), and a 4th high slot which is way better than a 5th low(Dual tanking FTW).
CCP Gallente more needs help. Statwise, the Minmitar outclasses the Gallente suit, and the passive is not strong to make up for this, while Minmitar gets an amazing passive. It's fine that the Minmitar is the best Logi suit in the game, it was meant to be and the other variants have niches the Minmitar can't do. Gallente has no niche at all in standard and advanced, and the niche in Proto is just too small to matter. |

The problem here is that the Minmitar is doing this already at the advanced level, possibly even better because it gets an extra High slot more speed and a passive ability. |

Combat Efficiency is one thing, don't let the desire to find a new FoTM or Top Fit ruin your game.
This isn't about Gallante being a top fit, this is about Gallente not being flat-out outclassed by Minmitar in the standard and advanced level. I'm not saying you "can't" do your job, but Minmitar is doing it better. |

And i havent maxed engineering and electronics YET.
If you're using more than 1 damage mod on a Logi, you're doing something wrong, and even that damage mod isn't needed. Minmitar can already do this as well, they get a 3rd high and ADV gear don't suck up enough PG/CPU for the passive 25% reduction to mean much on the advanced level. I have doubts you're using use Complex Armor plates too, the PG will not allow it.
