It looks like a lot of people are still running "murderlogi" fits even after a few hits with the nerf bat, so here's a crazy idea: Give logi suits the awesome survivability they used to have along with maybe even a bump in PG/CPU and a bonus to reps.
The catch: The light weapon slot is replaced with a slot that can only fit remote repair tools. Giving them all a sidearm slot would probably be a good idea so they're not entirely defenseless (along with a rebalance to Amarr logi, ofc). Equipment slots could stay the same to make up for the loss in WP from kills. The new WP stuff that's coming would probably help, too.
What do you guys think? Terrible nerf to logi or a good (or at least interesting) idea? |

This is a terrible idea and that's coming from a Logibro who focuses mainly on repping and shooting comes second. With the ridiculous spam of AR we will be utterly defenseless with just a side arm. Not gonna work.
However I do agree with you about getting rid of the assault-logi. Logi's need to fulfill their intended role! |

Teammate dies to a ranged engagement, can't rezz him right away as the threat is still around, I pull out my SMG and nothing happens because he is out of range (or I run up to him and get toasted before reaching a proper range) ... so NO will be my answer. Check out the logi healthbar thread there're better ways out there to fix tha assault-logi issue.

I'm not going to lie about how I run my Logistic suit. I use Gallente, of course. I'm a medic first, combatant seconds. A... combat doctor, if you will. My primary will change based on who I have to fight. Most cases it's a weapon that will distract people away from my allies.
Most times.
I am a medic first, and a combatant second. Once my equipment is used, I am no longer a medic. I am a combatant. I will shed blood for my team, for they will not be slain by those that I could of killed. |

You know Logis are not healers they are multi purpose support units (including fire support)....so no. I could live with making all Equipment slots mandatory to be filled as long as its up to the logi what he fills in there... |

It's definitely a half-baked idea. Just something that came to mind when I was thinking of how to get rid of most of the assault-logi guys. The only people in my banana suits should be fellow logibros. |

Not this again
Anyone thinking that the Logi suits are better suitet for the Slayer task than the Assault suits are should get their f@cking heads examined.
When I set up my proto Cal logi vs my proto CAL assault suit the assault suit is better in every conciveable way except for the lack of equipment slots and the buildt in armor rep.
Have you even skilled into both proto suits of the same race and compared?

This same concept was posted a few weeks ago. It's a terrible idea. I'm not going to go into great detail like I did on the older post due to utter redundancies, but your concept is flawed. |

This a million times. With equipment slots needing to be filled, it would take away most of the PG/CPU that some logis are trying to bypass.
However, that would never mean that a logi can't dominate in battle and come away with lots of kills. It seems some people just instinctally react to a logi killing a lot of people and think logis can't be allowed to do that.
Why not? A logi, while having many different logistic roles to fit in, can still be a prolific killer and i don't see what's the problem in that.

Murderlogi? LOOOL u made me laugh, nice one
But honestly most Logi's using "Murderlogi" fittings are also running rep tools and injectors as well, making them (at least me) a hybrid between medic and assault Though I do usually stick behind cover spots using my injector and rep tool.
Yeah Logi's can get kills. So what I don't see why people are QQIng over a suit that only has ONE weapon slot. Why don't you be a logi before asking for them to get ANOTHER hit with CCP's oversized nerd hammer. |

I play a logibro like a healer, but I think restricting me to a sidearm is ridiculous. Reducing my pg/CPU but giving me a fitting reduction to equipment would keep the slayer Logis at bay. I need my md/ar/scrambler to take out the guy that dropped you. If you take those away, you'll here people complaining about getting rezzed while there's still enemies around. |

What do you guys think? Terrible nerf to logi or a good (or at least interesting) idea? ask the medic in the army what he thinks about giving away his rifle and getting a pistol in return
additionally this is the worst idea ever and not going to work at all for repair+revive logis. the guy in front of you dies during a medium range firefight, the enemy is still here and you cant fight back because you are outranged. you cant ressurect your friend cause he will just die again. |

Bad idea.
I also still don't understand why people thing logis playing assaults are better than assaults themselves.
Since the repair tool is now crap with the team health bar nerf, I run mainly "logissault" using a scanner, nanohives, and DUs or REs. If I had another logi who would drop ammo when I needed it and scanned continuously, then an assault suit with REs would be my fitting of choice. Since that rarely happens I end up being the guy providing equipment support for my squad.
The bottom line is, if I get more kills than you because I'm better than you with a gun, all the while juggling nanohives/scanners/whatever, then that just means I'm a better player. |

Been 99% logi since I started (murder-taxi epidemic forced me into proto swarms!)
I've always played AS a logi, so the idea of making the use of all equipment slots mandatory sounds a great solution.
I always fill the equipment slots with the best equipment I can fit (defensive and offensive), so having a light weapon is crucial for self-defence when protecting my squad/team (and my isk investment). |

ARE YOU NUTS? How about we make it to where the grenade, equipment, and sidearm slot (even if you already have a light weapon equipped). And see where that goes. |

Atiim wrote: Yeah, I know. A lot of people who aren't logis thaink that we should always stay in the back and healing everyone and that we shouldn't run assualt stuff or anything. I actually read a thread once about how all logis should have toier Light Weapon Slot replaced with an armor repairer.
Then there are those people who believe that logis are OP just because the have multiple equipment slots and that they have way to much CPU and think that we should have the same amount of CPU/PG as everyone else. But without that load of high CPU would we be able to even fit all that equipment?
People who cry about getting killed by logis need to quit QQing, and pick up a gun and learn how to play this game.
Yeah I already answered something similar on another thread, and this idea is too stupid for a re-type. |

As it is now, im a MURDERLOGI, I don't even hide it. I TRY to stick to support but I end up killing a lot and I even forget to rep/revive people sometimes.... (amarr and cal Murderlogi)
This I posted it in another thread, but copy paste power, here we go:
The logi is WAY too good of a combat armor to be used only as medic. Their massive amount of HP and natural HP repair bonus makes them VERY fit for combat, specially in Close quarters.
WHAT We need ANOTHER Med frame, or maybe a Light one. With 1 or 2 side arm slots. 2 equipment slots speed and enough slots.
Say: Caldari Medic Med Frame: Shields: 200 Armor: 50 Stamina: 180 Speed: 7.2 Side arm slot : 2 Equipment Slot: 2 High slots : 5 Low Slots : 3 Shield recharge:6 Shield Depleted: 8
Make them with enough PG and CPU to fit whatever they like. A generic bonus that helps the armor's survivability like: +3% total shields and armor per level (meaning that each level gained makes the armor stronger until they reach 230 shields and 57 armor y default, this stacks without penalty with regular passive bonuses for a total of 280 shields and 70 armor) And specific bonuses that help different equipment's , like=
GÖªCaldari: 10% resupply rate on nanohives GÖªMinmatar: -5% to cost of CPU/PG on Remote Explosives and Pox Mines. GÖªAmarr: -5% cost of CPU/PG on Drop Uplinks GÖªGallante: 10% Range bonus to Repair Tools
This way every race has an incentive to use one of those equipment's on par to their nanite injector. The lack of Light/heavy/grenade slots incentivize support role more, while still being able to defend themselves say, with an SMG and a flaylock.
This way we will have more variety of play styles. GÖá MurderLogi (like assaults but stronger but less mobility) GÖá TrueLogi (Massive Support Unit) GÖá Field Meds (Faster Support units) And eventually, knowing Dust playerbase: GÖá KillerMeds (Abusing their slots and speed , modding them to be Scouts v.02 will not be hard) |
