Gallente proto is the only reason to use the line(and it's still inferior to Minmitar). Standard and Advanced are absolute rubbish, completely outclassed by Minmitar, and inferior even to Caldari and Ammar.
The problem here is the passive ability. It doesn't matter whether Minmitar is in standard, advanced, or proto - it's always hacking stuff 25% faster while having faster movement speed and having superior high/low spread especially on standard and advanced level. Even Caldari is always regaining shields faster, and Ammar will always have a side-arm.
Gallente is different because its passive ability requires you to use as much EQ as you can and/or use the highest level of Equipment you can use to take full advantage of it, or you're using an inferior suit(resulting in Gallente being the most expensive Logi). Gallente cannot take advantage of this with just 3 slots, and there is simply not enough PG on standard and advanced for multiple proto EQ without running a PG enhancer, and at that point you're better off just running Minmitar, since it CAN run that PG Enhancer while losing nothing compared to Gallente. (Minmitar 6 High/low, Gallente 5 High/low)
Main point - Minmitar can already run the same amount of EQ and the same EQ while still maintaining high/low superiority, faster movement speed, and a better passive ability. Caldari and Ammar also outclass Gallente if it is not running proto EQ. This can easily be fixed by giving Gallente the ability to run 4 EQ at standard and Advanced, that would easily seperate it from the other suits. |

Except you can't.
Proto weapons take up too much CPU(PG gets tight too). Even if you were able to barely squeeze one in, you're running inferior stuff to do so on a standard and advanced suit. Also they cost 75k you really shouldn't be running them except on proto.
Tanking is false, because the PG will not allow it, even with ADV EQ. Because of this Minmitar can tank the same amount too, while still being faster with a better passive ability. |
