tanks are not OP, av is not UP. if there would be a limitation on vehicles, CCP would kill its pilot community here, this is not call of duty.
This is your problem, you expect to run around solo with no team help and still not get killed lol
For a tank to survive against proto av as it stands, more so if theres more than one of them, you pretty much need a good team behind you, whether they randoms or corp mates, either that or spend the match doing laps around the map
even the dude in the video gets it, like he said, have a look who you got on your team, have a look whos on the opposite and then call your tank in or not based on that.....

Yea lets wait and then e can kill each other in the forums...
I dont see its biased, it pretty much sums up how i feel, like sometimes tanks are op, then other times they are up, it all depends on the opposite team and what they got....
1 clued up proto av dude and the tank gonna have a hard time, but given the size of maps, its manageable
2+ proto av, and it starts to become a nightmare for tank, personally i check the other team and debate whether i can bring one in or not, but when you get 5+ games that you cant call a tank, it starts to feel like a waste of isk and sp
infantry or tanker, we all been in them pubs on a side with a complete bunch of dimwits, given the cost of tanks, its a nightmare when your on that bad team
same for infantry, maybe no one got good av, then your ****** and have a crap game
its a tough thing to balance, and have a non-biased view on, but i think ccp on the right track with this "burst tanking" stuff, like, tank goes in gets a couple of mins of beast mode (still kill-able just a bit more solid), then withdraws for cooldowns, which is pretty much how it is now, except, tankers cant have a "beast" mode when theres 2+ proto av out very well, let alone escape
draw distance \ rendering need some kind of buff, or it doesnt matter wtf they do to tanks |

I think they had something about burst mode, I believe it was siege mode, which I do believe was scrapped.
Im just going off what i read on the tank sticky thread, as far as i know, it didnt give times etc just a vauge idea
even if cool downs quite a while, its not like its going to be the whole match
it kinda makes sense that it should be active modules which do the balancing, as there doesnt seem to be a way to do it other wise
i dont think just bumping the hp, pg, etc will balance, tanks just become op, they need a weakness, which should be while there in cooldown
bit like the ammo, its going to take the tank off the field for a while, which if the infantry cant kill said tank, can only be a good thing
