I stopped playing DUST514 in 1.2 because I felt the game becoming more of a "grind" than an actual "game" for me. I had forgotten that I had DUST514 DL'd on my PS3, only until this past weekend, when I got a "survey" to evaluate DUST514. I gave my answers, sent the survey in, and wondered to myself if the game had any changes at all over these past few months. It definitely has changed. Most of the glaring issues for me have been addressed in some way.
The network connectivity felt much more "stable," for me. I have not been kicked off the server at all the past few days, and I was able to complete entire matches, consecutively!
The new "welcome" interface was a great touch in my opinion. Event news, patch updates, passively earned SP/ISK and mail are all easily accessible. Saves me the trouble of having to navigate to the skills screen just to check if I have enough SP to spend on anything.
The gameplay feels less cumbersome and frustrating. Equipment deploy effectively (Nanite Injectors and Active Scanners). Weapons are more effective (My SMG can contend with an AR at ranges ~100 units away). Vehicles are now more valuable than ever since they are used more sparingly.
The game made some considerable progress in just a couple months. It felt like a brand new experience for me, and I just want to say keep up the good work CCP! Looking forward to whatever you may have in store in future releases! |

I'd just like to advise you to stay away from General Discussion for the most part - there's a lot of unnecessary doom and gloom here. Despite what many whine about, the game has come a long way. |

I agree. As everyone most likely knows, the ones that are most likely to speak up are the complainers. Dust is a really good game and I have enjoyed MANY hours playing it. |

The game has come a long way, and I thoroughly enjoy playing it daily. It even pulled me off of GTA V yesterday. :)
There's more progress to be made, sure, as is the case with all MMOs. That just means to me that Dust going to be ever evolving, deploying new features and making the gaming experience more fun. CCP, if anything, has demonstrated its will to be a business that plans ahead and has a future vision.
