"Oh, cool, I finally got dropsuit upgrades up to 4. So now I can go unlock biotic upgrades, to unlock kinetic catalyzation".
"Huh. level 1 biotic is not enough, guess I'll have to wait a little bit...
wait, I need to put in HOW MUCH SP for that??!????"
(609,400 SP).
F that...

It's not even just that there's a multiplier. it's that you have to get the prerequisit to V. And even if I *DID* sink SP down that hole.... kinetics are useless(no benefit above militia ones) unless I get THAT to level 3 as well!
F'orget that. I'll just run with 2xmilitia, and forgo use of a low slot. That gives me better than a single ADV kincat anyway.
What I would have preferred to see, is lower "barrier to entry", but no militia version.

"Important" implies "more important than most other things".
Pfft. for 600,000 SP, I can think of much more important things, for HALF the cost. (I'm relatively new, so I dont have 6,000,000 SP sunk already)
I could get my sniper skill from 4 to 5, AND get my scout suit from 2 to 3, with 600,000 SP.
But at this point, its still difficult for me to justify even waiting for 300,000 to sink into something, when there's fun stuff still to be had for 100,000

Free. Speed. Boost. I would think that, especially as a Gal scout, you would want as much non-low-slot-taking speed boosters as possible.
huh. interesting point. btw, I'm only considering the kinetic skills for my Minmatar alt :) For my gallente suit, i'm focusing on stealth and range.
... waitaminit... nuts. I need to be doing that on my gallente Alt. Neuuuuuu.....
well, I'm still doing fairly well with range extenders in my Calamari-in-galente. but... gah... wasted investments..
