somehow i don't think it is going to be anything like your hoping. more likely your not going to be able to shoot for a period after decloaking much like in eve otherwise everyone will fit one |

honestly i think the cloak mechanic should be tied into the scan system.
For example, the lower your profile the harder it is to see you when you activate the device. this makes it so that scouts have an advantage over other suits while still being accessible to other suits so that scouts don't become the next Fit Of The Month (FOTM).
They can also have it so the people with lower scan precision can see cloaked players beter. For example, a scout who stacked scan precision mods should have a easier time seeing cloaked enemies then someone who stacked damage mods. This can be simulated by a glowing outline of a cloaked player or a glowing figure.
The cloaking scale could be.... profile is at 50; half transparent, faded colors profile is at 25; a blob, colorless, like in halo 1 profile is at 0; completely invisible
Since people will try and stay invisible for the whole round it might be a good idea for you to start fading back to normal if you don't deacctivate it soon. And shooting would temporary raise your visibility when cloaked.
i think this idea is great because it better rewards people who sacrificed tanking for scanning and it makes sense that if your invisible to scanners why not be to eyes too. As well as not being that piece of equipment that you stape on and become an expert while also being powerful with a sacrifice. however i think this would be extremely difficult to impement ingame.
i like this idea but i want to know how you guys feel about it and don't be afraid to criticise. |

I have no idea what Crysis is like online. I played the open beta and it wasn't like everyone was invisible. Though I could see how unbalanced it is in Crysis. What I'm suggesting isn't like in Crysis, but something like a perma cloak when not moving, and when moving you would be seen, but it would be harder to see you. Shooting should happen only after the cloak (which is equipment) cools down. Check out the post above this for a real good idea of what cloaking should be.
p.s. Thanks for the apology. |

It would be interesting if they made it use a light weapon slot. In eve you have to make sacrifices in order to cloak, so in dust why not make it your primary weapon. It might actually make commandos more useful. |

It was already confirmed as an equipment too so...
