Hey is there anybody who can tell me why there is equipment that is only available from some races? For instance only caldari + gallente seem to have vehicles and only amarr has heavy dropsuits.
Is this something temporary and eventually all the empires will have their own specific equipment or is it done on purpose and in the lore of the game these empires keep the secrets for their equipment or some empires don't have the resources to make vehicles IDK (That one doesn't seem very likely especially for vehicles) |

Thanks for the super quick reply.
I don't want to be harsh but what's up with game companies constantly releasing games and then getting them out of beta and saying that they are complete.
Sorry but this isn't a complete game. It's still bugged a lot, it doesn't have 3/4 of the features it was announced to have at release, it's missing content for different factions, etc. I mean, look at Planetside 2, EXACTLY the same thing is going on.
Don't get me wrong, it's a great game. But why can't companies wait anymore before releasing a game ready to go out in the market? I think this is hurting them more than helping. |

Rogue Saint wrote:People seem to misunderstand the difference to a "off the shelf" "finished" product to one that is constantly evolving. PC MMO players are used to this type of development cycle, we know the game is never complete, even when we think all the holes/features/items are filled there is still more to come.
Yeah I know the difference between a MMO and a conventional single player game that doesn't evolve over time.
But I think it doesn't mean that it should be fine to release a game or take a game out of beta stage when it still has important bugs and when it is missing a lot of its main most important features. (Which were, in my opinion, the connection with Eve Online.)
I think the biggest problem with that is that it doesn't give a good impression to most people playing the game and it hurts the game at release time. The game at release gets pretty bad reviews and then most people don't play it or stop playing it form the beginning not knowing it will improve or not interested in waiting for that. To most people, I think they just assume this is the final product because I think that's what most people are used to in the video game industry. |

I'm not trying to say they're not a good company or anything or that people won't learn how the game world industry is changing. But, right now, I'm wondering if those choices and the way they are made isn't hurting them more than helping while people still aren't used to that kind of game development. |

Well yeah I definitely approve of CCP in general and it's great there's a big gaming company that is doing things differently than other ones out there (like those whose most important priority is profit for instance *cough* EA blizzard etc *cough *) |

Did I previously say that it was a complete game? (I don't even know if I did)
The thing about coming out of beta is that, I think you would expect that the game has the features that the company was announcing when they presented the game (I'm mostly talking about interaction with Eve Online) and I think you would expect all the factions to have their own basic equipment as they are supposed to and for basic features in the game to work as intended (such as the contact list, just mentioning one) |

BLASPHEMY. We are no Republic that is for the Gallentean scumbags and our brothers and sisters the Minmatar who have bee led astray by those fiends.
Haha apologies but I was looking for a Amarr only Corporation and that's what I found. I don't actually know Eve online so well but I was having pretty good doubts on whether or not they were a republic lol. Ends up they're aren't only Amarr and they recruit other faction... oh well. I'm not a big fan of corp's name but the people in the corporation are nice and they have eve players :P
Believe me, there is much worse out there and I'm sure you're aware of it :P I would actually play kind of roleplay with a corp that fits the lore if I could. |

I may be talking out of my ass but, from what I've experienced in Eve (I really haven't played eve online so much) and Dust, I really wish that there was actually a bigger involvement in the game with its lore and with the whole story of the game.
Idk I'm really looking for that MMO that is going to have a good and strong story IN the game with players participating actively to that story. |
