So I heard from a little birdy awhile ago about this that we will be receiving in the coming future a Stealth Camo (Equipment slot based) module that will be somewhat (IMO) OP.
I cant remember the stats that he said (they told me this about a month in a half ago) but from what he told me, honestly worried me because I feel that it will make everything OP alongside these classes (Scouts OP, HMG's OP and most of all Shotgunners). So I decided that we can have a debate/discussion on this topic before it becomes incredibly OP and everyone start using it. I will also showcase what is balanced as opposed to "what is cooler". (IMO) I honestly feel that the Active Camo would be better suited for this game, due to the fact that we have light shadows and particle effects that can show case the Predator shadow, stalking it prey instead of them being COMPLETELY invisible from everyone and coming in and out of it.

P.S.: I don't know if the name of this module is correct, but I heard it comes from the casing of a sword or dagger............ |

I cant remember the numbers but they said it takes A LOT of CPU and PG from the suit. And the fits (Militia, STD, ADV & PROTO) vary in timing/cooldowns. |

Your entitled to your opinion, but from what he told me from what THEY SAW. Sounds OP to me, I haven't seen this in action but the numbers look pretty intimidating. |

I don't think the difference between these two would be significant. As I have mentioned on another thread, to prevent too much craziness, I think that a cloak like this should be considered equipment that is unique to scouts. I'm iffy about giving medium suits a cloak. Minjas and snipers would benefit most, making stealthy scouts more viable. Long cool down, attacking/hacking/too much movement breaks the cloak, yada yada, don't make people cry about it too much. Also, Nova Swords. That is all. |

Thank you, for actually seeing my argument of it. This module (IMO) should be locked for scout suits because if everyone else had it, the game would turn into Predator vs. Predator. With occasional people popping in and out of view. |

This is simple, just follow the same concept ideas as in EVE. In EVE when you cloak you are totally invisible but your speed is greatly reduced and there is a delay period after decloaking before you can attack, however there would be a light frame suit that would greatly reduce the penalties but would typically be even more fragile. |

Lol me and V already had that discussion. I brought up that point. I honestly don't see why its a big deal yet until we get some kind of stats on it. V and I talked for prolly 1 hour about this module. Besides i don't think we will see something like that until after uprising and we get into the new build. Hopefully i'm wrong cause scouts need something going for it. |

I stated my opinion on it being potentially OP and if was to be available to all suits, then it would greatly hinder this game. Unless there was a way to properly take a sufficient amount of CPU/PG. And I can't remember the stats but Radar and I both discussed it awhile ago after I talked with the guy, who apparently had it on his screen in the market place on his developer PS3. |

This is CCP. We know how it's going to work before it even exists. CCP is easy to predict. They listen to whoever they choose to listen to and ignore those that they don't want to listen to, and anything new is usually off balance to be balanced in a later patch. I guess this is because they have no idea how its going to work even though they are the creators? Go figure. CCP should be testing this stuff in some sort of BETA server before actually taking it live. |

Because I consider them to be heavies, hell they are still deadly at both long range and short. Can you imagine a Commando in cloak with a shotgun, defending a point.....That's pretty scary. If you were a Scout its another thing because you have low health but Commandos are intimidating with a Shotgun in CQC. |

commando suits can't equip HMG or FG. so your talk about HMG = OP because of the camo system is pretty much redundant.
i'd suggest you fall off the cliff and delete your account instead since you can't tell the difference between a commando suit and a heavy suit.

May I remind you that they are still in the SAME FRAME and probably the same polygon structure, man you are ******* stupid. They have the same frame as an HMG, thus to ME, they are classified as a Heavy. Nice try though. |

Besides, it isn't really that scary, you just need to adapt. Get yourself a canary for your coal mine and bait the Commando out of his cloak only to die to the NK Minja who was cloaked there waiting for the bait to be taken
Teamwork, the REAL really scary and most OP thing in Dust.

you do know that the HMG stands for Heavy Machine Gun right? and its a weapon that can only be used by the heavy suit and not the commando suit.

While that may be true, you also have to factor in the players skill and who they are facing. Just like one Scout can hold down an objective, same could be said about a "Heavy" inside that objective. |
