Best ideas, based on likes, i'll quote and put for all to here. Now on topic what sort of respec systems would you guys try to use? I personally would go with a system where everyone gets X respecs, 2 is mine, per year that can be used at any given point and time. These respecs WOULD NOT stack per year so you can have more than 2 at any given point and time. The "year" applies to when the respecs were used so there's no abusable deadline.
Let me know what you guys think and what ideas you have. I also want to clarify that this tread thread isn't for people to complain about respecs. This is a thread to discuss what system the majority of us that DO want it can agree on. |

Hard to disagree but as is dust is pretty dull. Even with a total respec will just go back to our daily motions of complaining after a month of having to grind again. Still it's not a bad idea just that dust itself makes it hard to agree |

Mobius Kaethis wrote:None, because respecing doesn't force you to:
A) Deal with the fact that you've made mistakes
B) Destroys the feeling of permenancy currently associated with your choices which makes you really consider each choice deeply before you jump in.
C) Deprives you of the learning and sometimes joy when you find out that an accidentally/mistakenly bought skillpoint is actually quite useful.
I'd also like to point out that any respec is destructive to the game since all players will just constantly spec into the flavor of the moment destroying any semblance of play style diversity.
Respecs for AUR are awful because they promote a pay to win environment (see previous FOTM comment) and respects for large isk amounts give a huge advantage to the rich vets.
In summary, respecs are an awful idea and CCP has said there will be no more of them anyway so just give up on it. The rest of us are tired of verbally thrashing you for wanting a respec.

Either way... I'm at 23m SP. If I got a respec... it is 17 million to max out those dropsuit upgrades. another 4M at my proto suit. and 2million for weapons. lol. i'd love a respec.
MAG had a level cap tht once you reached you could respec back to level 1. The other system was... Well i don't remember I think you basically payed some price in SP and you could choose which things to spec into again.
What if they simply got rid of SP system for weapons/suits and make it more like the CoD(I don't know what else to compare it to i think BF) where usage and fimilarity with the weapon increases your ability with it and the things you can fit on it. In a way it'd be like EVE/CoD. the downfall with CoD when it comes to weapons is the fact that they aren't really unique but in D514 that's not the issue.
So basically the amount of time(games) you use a racial weapon type and the amount of kills, with the types of kills, increase certain skills on it. Like "reach x kills with the HMG increases it's stability". |

True sadly I don't know what else to compare it too. Comparing it to EVE wouldn't be very accurate either as well. |
