This must unintended, I believe that holding W + D W + A S + D S + A is not causing a decrease in acceleration, and thus acceleration seems always at peak even when turning.
This is not the case with the pad, If you'd like to move forward while leaning the stick right, You'd lose 25% (This is an approximation) of the acceleration.
I hope this will be fixed, because I look silly with a keyboard on a PS3 system and would like the pad to have a balanced chance. |

Who uses a keyboard to drive a tank ? ... well, now that you posted this, everyone is going too. When you guys are going to learn to report exploits instead of announcing them in the forums. |

I understand that it's hardly noticeable on LAVs, but I believe they might have this bug allocated with them as well, when using a keyboard that is.
Though I admit, the difference between if the user is using a keyboard or a pad is hard to assume when they are in LAVs. |

If you need to turn left in a HAV, you would hold A + W with a keyboard or A,A,A,A,A while holding W to make a hard turn. Rather than go to the point, spin 45 degrees then move forward. It's not efficient as you'd lose acceleration.
With a pad you lose acceleration if you try to mimic this part A + W with a keyboard or A,A,A,A,A while holding W |

What if it it's the pad that has broken speed and keyboard is working as intended? Food for thought. |

The downside to Keyboard and Mouse with tanks is I heard it's incredibly hard to activate modules. |

It's not a problem for a passive shield tanker in my opinion, since the only module is the shield booster.

I completely forgot about this exploit. HAV users used to do it a lot back in Chromosome. I have also heard of Tankers using both the Keyboard and DS3 because it increased your speed overall, though I believe that was fixed. |

Oh yeah, it's an exploit, not allowed to use a keyboard when gaming on a console, sorry guys. |

An HAV with kb/m doesn't turn like you think with your method, it would do they same thing as a ds3 controller if you were to put the stick at an angle to put an image in your head think of a lower case L then bend it at the center, that's as much turn as we get |

the issue doesnt apply to lavs anymore because now on ds3 there is the new command build and you can give accell or decell command while giving turn commands....on ds3 for lavs ..but tanks are still on the old analog movement system which didnt allow that |

Used to use a DS3 during Chromosome, then switched to keyboard for I think the last 2 weeks of that build. Been using keyboard ever since. |

This perhaps answers that dropships are fast whether you use pad or a keyboard since they both use an acceleration/deceleration switch. |

I use kb/m for driving, ds3 for turret and module controls. Talk about having your cake and eating it too. |
