3 hours working on the game? or 2 hours reading the forums and 1 hour "talking" about working on the game? |

Well considering they are many different offices around the world working on the same project working on Dust as a collective group they are technically working on it 24 hours a day five days a week. |

No I'm referring to the fact that they are professionals and most such people work 8 hours a day. I know I do. |

I suspect their is no lack of effort from the CCP crew. People on the forum might throw some rage and consternation at them but I'm pretty sure if they weren't working their a$$es off this forum wouldn't even be a place for us to gripe at much less the game were are all still playing. |

The average working week for games developers is far beyond what most of the rest of us have to deal with.

As for how much of that is spent "improving the game", I guess that depends on your definition. Lets take some sample activities and see whether you think they improve the game:-
1. Writing code for a new feature that you personally like 2. Writing code for a feature that you personally don't like or will never use 3. Finding & fixing bugs in the code they've just written 4. Hunting for a bug without success, until they eventually have to move on to something else 5. Filling in timesheets 6. Reviewing another developer's code 7. Reading these forums 8. Speaking to the CPM on Skype |

Is this post hinting that CCP should over work its employees like other game companies so you get new features faster? I've heard they encourage working sane hours which I very much respect. |

Work is still work. You like your job? Well I like mine too. But no matter how "cool" my profession is, I ain't about to put no 70hr in to it.
*but you got a free apt. Never have to pay rent. Big 2 BR, first floor..*
And I make sure that all the tenant needs are meant. The building is safe and clean. But when apt 2R broke her kitchen faucet again, well she's gonna have to wait till I finish writing on this here forum, before I go up there and save her ******** chihuahua from drowning.
I work hard. play harder. But my life ain't work. 40-50hrs.
*35hr sometimes...*
shut up. this post made makes me want to go hunting. can't for winter! |

a dev can burn themselves out working on a game just as fast as a player can do it playing the game. we all want this game to improve and move forward, but at the end of the day if the devs go home to be with families and friends instead of staying late to work on this game, i 100% agree with that decision. |

I agree as well, I didn't start this thread with any mean spirited intentions (though I did make a few jokes) |

PlEASE guys and gals,
don-Št forget that this is a small dev-team.
I bet that all of them working there asses off just to get flamed in the forum. We are looking here not at a big team like them from DICE or Activision.
I wished on behalf of the devs and the forum that a lot off people here learn to be patient.
Cheers |
