We've all seen how ruthless and OP the nerfs can be. I would never wish a nerf like the flaylock on any weapon in the game. I weap for the HMG. I lose sleep for the scout runners. I'm also riding the thin line between sanity and instability for dropships.
CCP why nerf things into the ground? I loved Chromosome because there were soo many ways to die. Sure we had the light saber viziam and the sniper ar, but those were just two of many. I miss the days of shitting myself when I saw a heavy in the distance(DISTANCE!!!!!!) because I knew his HMG would rip me to shreds just for crossing his line of sight.
I miss the days of running away from a SCR pistol & SMG wielding scout as a medium because of the scouts dancing around my rounds and his/her carefully placed shots would result in my death every time.
I even miss the days of having MLT dropship wars in the sky just for lols. It'd be all fun and games till someone brought out a shark on thrusters to shoot all of us out of the sky.
Vehicles would **** face and rightly deserved to do so. It was terrifying to see a Surya or Sagaris pop up out of nowhere with 9k shield or armor. Hardly anyone specced into AV so vehicles had their right of passage. I miss those days
Battlefield Bad Company 2 is probably the most balanced game I have ever played. Any weapon regardless of situation can be devastating in the right hands. Everything had a counter while everything was viable and worth the trouble of using.
I want to play DUST with a mindset like "gee I wonder what I'll die to next." not "sigh.... another GEK."
Stop nerfing and start buffing please. Make the killfeed interesting like it was before Uprising. |

Neither QQ or rant. I could've complained about OP duvolles, KDR padding snipers, Aim assist, or any new FOTM I may die to. Just saying DUST is going to be stale no matter how much content we have if the same few things still reign supreme. |

The problem with "buffing" everything over nerfing a single item is that there's a massive margin for error. Think of the current scene, if every weapon was buffed to the current OP weapon, then you could potentially be buffing over a half dozen weapons. If even a single buff went wrong, you could have an even more overpowered weapon, and worst case, you Kitten it all up and now have half a dozen insanely OP weapons that unbalance everything.
The other problem with constant buffing to tuning is that you introduce powercreep to a game, this is where things all keep getting buffed up and up, and you eventually see the entire dmg / armor scene having bigger weapons. A great example of Powercreep would be in games like Wow where one now sees 700k hp tanks, 50k DPS, etc etc. This makes "big" numbers less and less relevant, and only serves to blow up everything.
Generally you want to keep everything around one "balance line" in terms of numbers and strength. If things are over it, you nerf them, and things that are under it are buffed. It's quite hard (read impossible) to get every weapon to be at this line, and even more so when certain weapons are designed from the ground up to be situational. |

The problem, is that CCP makes a massive change to a weapon once a month, I'd much rather see small, adjusting changes once a week, with a major change when something is seriously broken. |

Kind of why I stopped playing. Niche weapons get buffed, AR nerds complain, CCP nerfs it. Or in this case completely change the rules of the game so the AR is back in top. Jack of all trades my biomassed ass... |

The aim-assist have completely unbalance the game ;
Every person using the aim-assist is using the AR. So this weapon have officially become OP.
Everyone not using the aim-assist is using all the OP weapons. So this weapons are slowly becoming Mega OP.
Instead of balancing the game, this aimbot have completely put everything outside down. |

This would work perfectly if we actually had some real communication between players and Devs. A crying shame imo. |
