People in my corp seem to think you run faster with a sidearm,shotgun or nanite injector in hand, they will not take my word for it that you only have a different animation and that your speed is still the same

Because neither is true. As stated above, the only things that make you sprint faster are Kinetic catalyzers or sprint speed passive bonuses.

If ******* means letting you know you're wrong... there's not much i can do. The fact is you're being unable to understand how to properly assess this question. If the issue here is to compare your running speed with a weapon in hand or with a equipment in hand, then comparing with other people is downright wrong. There's no comparison to be made there because other people have different running speeds. You can only compare with yourself. Same suit, equip all kinds of different things, run the same distance.

I bet you my whole ISK (203million) you'll get only negligible differences.
