If I may, while my personal scouting experience comes from using the free suits marketing keep giving us, would be happy if the current scout suit was left paper thin, but given buffs back to speed, profile, scan radius and 2eq slots, but you loose your side arm slot
Then we give a "welterweight" brawler suit or assasin suit, or whatever name you like, with a little more health and bonuses to damage at short range as well??
I would prefer if you were to respond with civility in mind!! |

I would prefer if you were to respond with civility in mind!! As it seem there is a limitation on how much speed they can give a suit without screwing hitdetection completely and scouts seem to be on the edge. So in order to make scouts (feel) faster they must make every other suit slower. They should give scouts some sort of harrassing skills like the min logi hacking bonus. Instead to remove the light weapon slot I would rather see a suit with two siedarms :). A buff to scan radius is badly needed especially for the gallente scout who is all about scouting. I agree on the low health scouts should be fragile and fast and stealthy compared to all other suits. Unfortunately they are just fragile in the current state of the game...
True but if make the othef suits any slower your gonna feel like running through custard, im sure they will figure it out, the unreal engine has alot of user community support more so than other engines.
2 sidearms for a light and sidearm, seems fair enough, especially when the gallante pistol is released!! What about the brawler suit, you like it? |

And I don't care too much about the scout suit's pitiful health ... but we need something to make up for it. It used to be speed, but that's much less useful now. I think the second equipment slot and a scan radius/profile buff would be a big boost, myself. And the problem with losing a light slot for a second sidearm slot is that it'll wipe out the shotgun scouts. I'm running more sidearm builds (SP + SMG) than shotty lately, but some guys are straight up shotgun ninjas, and I'd hate to see those taken out of the equation... Unless you're saying the recon scouts would have two sidearms plus two equipment slots, while the brawler scout suits would still be able to rock the shotty, but only have one equipment slot..? That my friend is exactly what Im saying, sorry ill try to make this clearer, would you be cool with that?

Fair enough, I might have had to much, , but yeah it seems a bit out of kilter to use a scout suit for cqc, but there most definitely be a suit for it, im just not sure which sounds better for its role, assasin or brawler, brawler sounds more like a heavy to me!! |

Shotgun scout with active scanner, if you run to the "main battle" you are useless, its your task to kill those who try to flank your team mates. So you stating how I run is wrong shows that you either run different suits (other than Scout) or you just limit your own self to that play style. If I can hold a KDR above 4.50 (solely as a Scout) that runs in battle, still manages to make quota of pay (not plateau on ISK) and still hold my own against other Proto's. Then I guess Im doing something right. You perhaps on the other hand, not so much. PS: And on top of that I rarely run in Squads and if I do run in a squad it's with 1 of my 4 Corp members. well maybe a new ASSASSIN suit would be more your playstyle? Then he cun run scouty scout, and you run cqc badass, you know just throwing that out their!!

I would give up my granade slot for another equipment slot tho, but i think one of the main things scouts need is a much bigger jumping higth, or some sort of micro burst jump pack, because there is allot of head higth terain it would be great to just jump over, or use to get into good sniping positions.
Prehaps vaulting, and short distance wall running, kind a parkour style? |

Not so the reason I say Adaptive Camo as opposed to Active is because you can still see the shape of your enemy and its not OP. Now with the new lights/shadowing and particle effects. It's strong but definitely not OP.
Aah, well thats more like the octo camo on the boss, then snakes, you could tell she was there because of distortion and a slight matrix style effect, if you mean what I think you mean!! It most definitely shouldn't be perfect stealth, bit op, also a timer that stop you shooting for say 0.8 sec after decloaking, then you can have different types!! |

I feel your frustration OP, but I can't imagine that boycotting the our gimped suit(s) will accelerate the fix timeline. Scout rebalance is already in the works; last we heard from Wolfman, we'll see it deployed in 1.6 (possibly 1.5).
Big changes -- the kind needed to balance light and heavy suits against mediums -- can't be implemented via hotfix.
Then again, the Devs could always address via nerfbat the other side of the imbalance equation :-) ^ That'd be an effort Scouts could get behind, as we patiently await our Christmas buff.

WHat? no I have PRoto Prof dampening and proto Min, and unless i TRY and equip 2 PROTO PROF DAMPENERS i get detected nevertheless. So not only i have ONLY 2 low slots, i must use them BOTH to avoid being detected... yeah seems fun....
Fair enough, I must have been thinking of the adv, saying that the really high prescision 1 is designed for finding scouts, it has 12db prescision, what would you say is fair for a scout without dampeners to achieve? |
