no they should systematically allow us to select to deploy to key systems within the warzone, capture planets and spread our factions influence throughout the system, holding up or even halting the EVE side players from fully controlling a region. |

Again, my point is that it seems like an awful lot of new players are coming to FW to escape the pub matches motto of "the beatings will continue until morale improves". Nailed it. I actually find the FW battles to be more evenly matched than the public contracts; too many squads from big corps were dominating the matches I was in (with and against) so I moved over to FW and, so long as you don't get the full 6 person squad showing up (or two of them!) the games tend to be fairly close. |

Trail by fire, you don't got to low sec to play, you got to fight if you are not ready then you get owned. It should be like that because is does in a way change both games. FW should be enter at your own risk. I can be a day one pilot in EVE and do FW. A new player could simply sit back and use an active scanner and be effective much like a new pilot can run tackle against a vet. |

This results in FW being either amazingly evenly matched, or this. I censored out my teams names to protect the stomped. I truly believe I was apart of the most lopsided game in Dust 514 history. No one was AFK, they were actually trying to win, and good lord was it depressing. The WP total for our entire team was 2190, theirs was 7550. Our entire team in a squad wouldn't have even sniffed a precision strike, lol. This game NEEDS a game mode like PVE, or just give new players the option to return to the Battle Academy until they reach 100k lifetime WP. The other thing that baffles me is the unwillingness of "Vets" to help newberries get their bearings. They just laugh and talk smack to them the whole time. Why would you want to stick around a game that is so unfriendly to new players, both game-play wise and player base wise? I understand this is New Eden, and HTFU, blah, blah, blah, but with our player base so small as it is... I try and help these poor bastards from time to time, but sometimes, games like this make you think they have no hope of getting better without the Veteran player base helping out.
Not all vets are unwilling, i spend most of my play time teaching new berries and givng them ISK to get proficient. During battle i regularly die to keep them alive even if it costs me millions. Ive been begging CCP to do something about the pub stomping or at least take proto out of instant battles to give new players a more even playing area |

When you step into FW you are stepping into something that affects eve to a small degree, expect people to be organized with orbital support. Show up in your best and bring you A game every game. You would think that is where all the proto and "pro" players would go when they cant do PC but instead they go to public contracts cause hey its easier to just smear nubs then actually try, never understood the enjoyment in that. |

Prime example of why we need squad-free modes. Squads dominate beyond belief most of the time, and for some reason the MM seems to place squads vs no squads more often then not (does this in 1.4, and did it pre-1.4 as well).
When games are randoms vs randoms, it is extremely fun and balanced. Sadly, this is rare.

I don't get it. I notice something is fixed and improved. I come to the forums, and people are crying the very thing that has improved is now broken.
I have been playing more DUST since the update, and everyone I play with agrees that matches are more even now. No matchmaking can be perfect, and I have yet to find a game that can do it perfect, but that said DUST is doing rather well at this now.
I am not going to say we wont ever see one sided matches, but I can say for sure I am seeing far more close battles now than I use to. |

This.
My corp fights for Minmatar and my EvE buddies are grateful for those districts being cleansed of Amarrian scum. We generally have a mixture of PRO and ADV gear and bring our A game, we want to win that district so yeah we intend to smash anything that comes our way. FW isn't a place to be new to the game imho. |

I was in an ambush once where my team went 80-1. No joke. Also, my corp is routinely able to pull in 7500 WP with only one squad (6 players). A full team doing it isn't that impressive. I've seen some 80-1/2/3 matches myself. Also my squad of TSOLE pulled out over 9k wp against a team in FW last night. FW has really slid downhill since 1.4 It hurts to see such things doesn't it. Great games against TSOLE and ANONYMOUS though. FW needs more PIE. and ice cream
