Not quite true. Without damage mods and without the proficiency skill, I don't think my shots are doing more than 300-400 depending on the shield/armor amount of my target. |

A lot. I use two damage mods and I'd say something around... ok, more than 200, for sure. Maybe as high as 400, or even a little more. Probably somewhere in the middle, around 300? Would be nice to know how much the damage is increased... -__- |

You mean the Assault Variant? Unlocks at Operation IV, fully automatic high rate of fire, yeah, that. But doesn't have the charged shot. I like the charged shot. |

I can say for a fact it took three shots to kill my MLT Heavy Forge Gunner suit. It ate through 580 shields, 370 armor.
I was like, "Oh, a SR plinking at me from 60m and playing hide-and-go-seek. I'll just line up my shot and obliterate him next time he pops his head up."
He got his third charged shot off right after I whiffed my direct FG hit. Stupid me, standing still. GG, SR. |

I asked them this, this very question a while ago:
GM UNICORN wrote: The damaged of a uncharged shot from a charged Scrambler Rifle is the amount stated under the Damage entry under Attributes. A full charged shot from that rifle, will deal roughly three times that amount. The damage build up in a linear way while charging, so a n half charged shot will be half effective. |

It's about 600 % on charge because I killed someone over 600 ehp in one shot with proto scr and 3 dmg module |

That's something around 300 per shot, a little less I'm guessing (mostly shields which take more damage). Could it be a x3 modifier for fully charged?
ADV SR Base damage: ~75
+2 damage mods (+~18%), +prof lvl 3 (+15%): 99,75
Fully charged (hypothetically x3): ~299,25
Seems about right. x4 would be ridiculous with proficiency 5 and stacked dmg mods and x2 would be too little, x3 is the closest "round" multiplier.

Mostly shield HP I'm assuming. I don't think it's THAT high, x6 seems too much. |

Gallente Heavy. When I see one of those I will just turn around and go the other way. No point trying to muscle through that much Armor HP with laser weaponry. |

Yeah, if Gallente Heavy will be hard to deal with, Caldari Heavy will be way too easy. The extra HP simply won't cut it for how much easier it will be to hit it instead of a Medium Frame. |

Now factor in the headshot multiplier.... If only our engineers had managed to get the 400% bonus for the rifle version...
But the SCR isn't the biggest threat to Caldari Heavies, the flux grenade is; In an instant, all their tank is gone. |

Hmm, looks like the amarr or minmatar heavy might turn out to be the best one, the gallente one is going to be incredible slow with all that armour, or ridiculously fast if someone speed tanks it. |

Gallente Heavy will have a higher base speed than the Amarr one, so it will probably be able to stack quite a few plates and still manage to move around. I was wondering more about the flux and other banes of shield tanking and how they will relate with the Caldari Heavy. Only way I can see for the Caldari Heavy to really shine is if it has some way (suit skill?) to get a faster shield recovery than average. Like, freakishly fast. That, together with a reasonable HP pool should give it more of a "Heavy" feeling than just a wall of Shield HP that vanishes with the first flux you throw at it and don't get back up before you are dead.
Imagine that you give some 600 damage to the Cal Heavy, with an AR or with a flux, shields are gone. It goes into cover and just a moment later he is back with full shields again. Now that seems like a reasonable Shield based heavy. |

Honestly, that was true of the CalLogi before CCP changed the bonus. They were the #1 suit even though everyone knew their weakness. Range + shields > Flux...
...which is exactly why you'll see plenty of Forge Gunning Caldari Heavies. You'll see fewer HMG Fat Squids. Calling it now. |
